Courtney Lee would be a nice backup 2.

He's pretty good friends with Dwight. ++

I'm sure we discussed this in several other threads but here's to beating a dead horse.

Yeah great. I heard Rondo could be the next D.Rose!

Do you think Boston wants just Lin and picks? I imagine they'll at least demand 2 of Asik, Parsons, Beverley as well. And I wouldn't do it for that.

Rondo has no 3pt shot. Not a good fit for our team. Now I wouldn't mind taking Jeff green. Pairing green with his old teammate harden from back in their okc days

    All In:

    To Portland
    Omer Asik
    Terrence Jones

    To Houston
    LaMarcus Aldridge
    Rajon Rondo
    Courtney Lee
    Terrence Williams (non guaranteed, waived)
    Shavlik Randolph (non guaranteed, waived)
    DJ White (non guaranteed, waived)

    TO Boston
    Jeremy Lin
    Thomas Robinson
    Patrick Beverley
    Hou 2014 #1
    Hou 2016 #1

Houston moves Trob to Boston for their 3 non guaranteed guys first, who are waived, clearing the max room for Howard. Houston signs Howard and then executes the second parts of the trade making Houston into an uber team.

    Rondo / Cannan
    Harden / Lee
    Parsons / (Garcia)
    Aldridge / D-mo
    Howard / Ohlbrect

Rondo wouldn't be the best fit with harden true, but he's a allstar and that overcomes everything else. If you can get rondo for a good deal, you do it. Something like Lin, Asik and multiple future picks for Rondo would be a steal. With Rondo, Harden and Parsons there's no way Howard wouldn't sign with us. We would then have 3 legit allstars and a hell of a glue guy in Parsons. Doubt the C's trade Rondo though, and doubt we'l have the best package but hey you never know.

    would love courtney lee back.

    Howard/asik
    asik/demo/
    Parsons/lee
    Harden/lee
    Lin/bev/toycannan

that's a 57+ win team if we play democratically.

Side note, but something to think about............can you believe in 2009 the thunder had....

    Harden
    Ibaka
    Jeff green
    Westbrook
    Durant

Imagine that group RIGHT NOW PLAYING TOGETHER. Good drafting by that front office...jusf couldn't keep them together. Smh..

Taking on Lee's bad contract to get Rondo would be a win.

This is the 3rd thread about trading for Rondo?

Shouldn't this be locked to move to the trade idea thread?

OP is a 1999er, should know better.

    Nuggets
    IN E. Turner / D-Mo
    OUT W. Chandler / E. Fournier
Get a solid almost all-star wing that can do it all to replace Iguodala and a rotation ready power forward / center to help give Gallinari time to heal.

    76's
    IN J. Lin / G. Smith
    OUT E. Turner
Lin can be an all-star in the east (Holiday's spot) and help the team tank at the same time. Carter - Williams will take some time to develop.

    Rockets
    IN W. Chandler / E. Fournier
    OUT J. Lin / D-Mo / G. Smith
Clear cap space (3M) and add even more outside shooting better fits with Harden. Parsons is now tradable, too

I have a cap related question:

If the Rockets exercise the team option on Parsons and then resign him, they will be able to go over the cap because of Bird rights, correct?

If the Rockets trade him this summer, would the team he was dealt to also be able to exercise Bird rights after they exercised the team option?

If the receiving team wouldn't have Bird rights, then the likelihood of Parsons being dealt is low (because he would be much more useful to the Rockets), but if the other team could also exercise Bird rights, then I think he could be dealt if the offer was right.

How did Jrue slip by us so easily, we had assets lined up for a trade of such, Hinkie you sly dog. Jrue and Harden would of been a sweet back court.

Hinkie is building a tank, the Rockets can't really help with that (as much as Pelicans).

Not that bad of a contract to be honest. Only 2 years, midlevel, makes corner 3s, defends.

He just started the season poorly. By the time he started playing ok, clutchfans forgot him. So there's an impression that it's a worse deal than it is.

I'd gladly take him if i'm a contending team and got no bigger plans with cap space.

Given that Dwight doesn't seem to want to play with Harden, and would prefer a star PG:

    HOU gets

    Rajon Rondo

    BOS gets

    James Harden
