Prokhorov and Paul Allen are by far the two richest NBA team owners. $80 mil a year is a chump change for him.

Seriously. If Deron bounces back at all that team is deadly.

Damn they even get Terry. Should be useful off the bench.

Don't think this is a good move for the Nets but got to give credit to the Russian, he makes things interesting.

Not too surprising that the Celts blew it up after letting Doc walk. Taking back Wallace's contract sucks, but blowing it up is never pretty, well unless you're the Rockets.

Think the Nets will finish 3rd at best and lose to either the Pacers or Heat in the 2nd round.

I don't get this at all from Boston's perspective. Give up your hall of famers for some trash, bloated contracts, and useless late draft picks?? Do all these contracts expire next year?

it's still insane to think that we turned over our entire roster (with the exception of parsons) and we are where we stand today.

This is a good deal for Boston. The Celtics get to compete for a top pick in the 2014 by entering full rebuilding. Further those 2016 & 2018 first round picks are not garbage as the Nets likely will be old and bad by then.

In the last week Boston has added 4 first round picks over the next 5 years.

Not if the Nets are good, and these are late first rounders. That would be like late third or fourth rounders in the NFL. Still think its too much?

If Howard doesnt come to Houston, any chance our backup plan may be to go after a trade for Rondo? Boston is gonna be looking to trade him for sure to guarantee they enter the Wiggins sweepstakes. With Rondo on the team they wont be in the hunt, so they will dump him.

Id rather us lose out on Howard and sign Milsap and trade for Rondo. Starting 5 would be nice. Rondo will make 12m and 13m the next 2 years. Milsap made 8m this season, prob be a 10-12mil guy now. We could clear a bit of cap space and get them both.

    Rondo
    Harden
    Parsons
    Milsap
    Asik

They have no bench. And KG and Pierce playing 30+ minutes a game...good luck with that. Pierce is about to turn 36 and KG just turned 37. I still think they are now the #2 team in the East. But not able to compete vs Miami still. Could be interesting though. I sure hope they can beat the heat.

Danny Ainge should lose his job over this... Is this really the best offer they could've gotten!? AND they take back a dreadful Gerald Wallace contract??

Only way this pays off is if they get wiggins next year!

This looks bad now but yeah they could be in running for Wiggins next season and also they have a 1st rounder in 2014, 2016, and 2018. That gives them 2 picks in a stacked 2014 draft and also KG and pierce will be long gone by 2018 so what says Brooklyn is still worth a damn by then, that could turn into a lottery pick(even though East sucks so prob not) They may even be gone by 2016, which I think so. KG anyway atleast.
