Any of you ever been there?? I'm thinking about going to see it...we have lots of documented historical records of our family there...I really want to see it. Would like to do it within the next couple of years... any tips from anyone who's been there?
Was there 3 year s ago. Dublin is a must see(loved it). A part from that,ur trail should do a loop (Dublin-East-South-West and back to Dublin). ALA
If I can get her to do it (she's lazy), I'll ask my sister to e-mail you, even though I'm sure you'll get great responses here. She went last March for her honeymoon.
If ur hoping on drinking a real home made Guiness, think again! Though it's the most famous Irish product they don't really like it!(authenticated by a real Irish girl!) Good luck on that tripe. ALA
Go to Dingle, in the Ring of Kerry. Mountain bike the Ring of Kerry. Then go swimming with Fungi the dolphin....if he's still around. Galway is cool, great music in the pubs after they close the doors. Cork is a party town....great place to watch a soccer match. Ireland is wonderful. Too bad they all drink Budweiser. And dont drink the half-pints unless you want to a puss like Clinton.
Go to Kilkenny...or else. If you want to see the real Dublin, visit the slums. I like Ireland, but much prefer Scotland in the UK.
hope you like potatoes... i have a friend that went a few months ago and he said at most places you get fries or some kind of potato, then you get the 'potato of the day' (a potato fixed up in a 'special' way)
thanks for the tips guys...this is a trip i've always wanted to make...i'd like to make it sooner rather than later. not sure if i can get away, though.
