No one on this planet has disputed that Zimmerman followed Martin at some point. The defense has established that she spent quite a bit of time with the Martins and their attorney before she came up with the Get off, Get off comments.
of course. Every witness for both sides will spend time with the lawyers. I just think playing the audio was a mistake for the Defense.
Jesus, it amazes me how much of an idiot trayvons friend is. I hope zimmerman gets convicted but this dumb girl is making it hard for me to side with the prosecution.
I tried a few times to watch the girl's testimony, but damn, it's like getting a root canal. I think she has had some important things to say about the incident, and I hope it isn't lost on the jury simply because they can't stand her being on the stand.
She has changed her story so many times (not small changes either). Everything she says now is questionable.
It doesn't indicate to you that Martin felt threatened by being followed by a crazy rapist and stood his ground in self-defense?
Didn't they prep her for the court hearings like on all those TV show? Or is she really that dim that nothing will help. In that case, why put her on?
She had to be a witness. As for the other stuff, I'm sure they did, but you gotta work with what ya got, and that's what they have with this girl.
He did what the Martin camp is accusing Zimmerman of which is racial profiling (except with inadverdent sworn testimony of him doing so from a friend of his) and then committed assault on that person. George Zimmerman had a gun on him why fight a guy taller, fitter and quicker than he is.
She is clearly not very intelligent, but they have no choice but to put her on. If the state wouldn't bring her on then the defense would. Her connection to the event is closer than any other person.
Not really. She's been very consistent with the main points. TM was worried because he was being followed. She heard the confrontation begin. There was no way TM was hiding to ambush GZ. But I agree with Deckard. It's incredibly hard to watch this girl. She's not really likable, and easily frustrated, and doesn't have a great grasp on what she's doing in this case. I feel bad for her because the defense keeps asking her the same questions trying to get her to use wording that they can twist. Or maybe the defense is just keeping her up there so the jury's dislike of her grows and the more she gets frustrated the less clear she's been and her testimony all will get muddled in the jury's mind. I don't know. But the jury will really have to sift through a lot to get at the evidence she actually has provided.
This is exactly why they drug their feet arresting Zimmerman, they had no solid evidence they were just trying to pacify a community likely on the verge of rioting
Of course it is. The fact that an unarmed teen was killed by a guy with a gun who ignored the 911 dispatch, with witnesses who've claimed they saw Zimmerman on top of TM, and that TM was calling for help. None of that is enough evidence to hold someone? LOL. Even one of the detectives thought Zimmerman should have been taken into custody.
I guess you didn't hear about both of those witnesses going down in flames yesterday. One heard 3 gunshots, the other put Martin on bottom because she thought he was the same size as when he was 12. Those witnesses were sketchy from day 1 and they had a witness who came out his back door directly in front of the skirmish who contradicted their claims.
First of all the one witness was sure the one who was one who called for help and was on the bottom at one point was the one that got killed. But even if that wasn't the case, that's what a trial is for. They needed to arrest GZ in order for their to be a trial. You can believe that some witnesses are completely unreliable and other witnesses are completely reliable. That's up to you and more importantly up to the jury. But it's still evidence that was out there, and enough to apprehend GZ to begin with. I think most of the time an unarmed teen is killed by a man with a gun who was following him around, and ignored 911 dispatchers it isn't unreasonable that the guy with the gun would be booked. If the DA looked at the evidence and dropped the charges that would be up to the DA. But it doesn't mean there wasn't enough evidence to initially arrest GZ. It's out and out laughable that you would think that.
