    Just thinking out loud.....

I get the Coaching style aversion. But does Dwight really think that winning is possible with a hobbled Bryant and older versions of Metta, Nash & Pau? Doesnt every measure indicate LAL will be even worse next year than this past one?

Is the reported implication that if LAL dumps Dan, Dwight is all happy to resign?

So is it that Dwight will sacrifice next year in order to get to 2014 when LAL can actually make moves?

What impact does LA's billboard guilt trip have if any?

Is Dallas a real contender? On the surface, their only advantage over the Rockets is their slower pace and more emphasis on post play which is a style Dwight may prefer.

That's "Big Tex" from the state fair of Texas, which is held in Dallas. I think Doc Rocket is on drugs.

Big Tex was located in Dallas. In the second picture he is on fire. This could mean smoke screen. I don't think you quite get Doc's methods.

If any of his teams ever won with only one superstar player then I'd be more impressed. When Phil just had Kobe in his prime, the Lakers didn't even make the playoffs. Every one of Phil's "rings" has come from an absolutely stacked team. When you have Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, and Kerr it's almost impossible not to win.

Phil recently said he is not "physically" able to coach anymore and repeatedly recommended Brian Shaw... Pity BS has gone to the Nuggets.

Doubt Lakers make a coaching change this late in the game.

Appears to be a reference to the television show Dallas.

Spoilers if you ever plan on watching the show. I've never seen it. http://www.ultimatedallas.com/newdream/faq.htm

I think this is a reference to the show Dallas. Bobby Ewing was shot in the shower. But that is a total guess.

There is no reason for Dwight to care what the Lakers want as far as trying to get something back. He is an unrestricted free agent, he chooses where he goes and if the Lakers get nothing in return why should he care? There are no benefits to sign and trades for players now.

If there is a sign and trade from the Rocket's perspective, it would be because we want to shed more salary or get some other player beyond just Dwight (Pau Gasol too maybe?). Dwight is already an expiring contract for the lakers, no need to trade for an expiring contract that you will have to pay for a year.

My point is that many (you are not alone) are already out of patience with Howard, even before he has the opportunity to voice a decision. I suppose it's understandable that he is on such a short leash with fans, given last year's drama; but I find it amusing that we are so ready for this to be over, even before it begins.

    I'll repeat what I said.

If he's leaving LA, how does Dwight convince us to cater to him? He probably feels he needs to convince after what he's gone through, but I have no doubt that Morey/Mchale long planned to make it fit around him/with him.

I believe it's from the DALLAS sitcom when they brought Bobby Ewing back after his character was killed off, in the season he died it was referenced that it was "All A dream" and therefore Bobby Ewing never died. I believe he appeared to his wife in the shower, and she realized it was all a dream.

Dallas has practically a gutted team. Its just Dirk.

We have Harden, Parsons, Asik, and Lin.

It seems like an easy decision...

Oh no I understand Doc's schtick... i just think it's hilarious. It was more of a "you may need to be high to understand what's going on here" than a shot at Doc.

Even Brusarrd begrudgingly thinks Houston is the place Dwight ends up. Wanted to say Dallas but his brain backfired on ESPN radio

So the only clear "clues" are rockets colors (scarlet and mustard). So Doc Rocket is saying it's clear that Dwight is looking (magnifying glass) at Houston, but "watched pot" would indicate that he's tired of this will he/won't he resign situation.

Seeing as how it's a "Clue" clue, I think he's saying that ultimately he's going to murder our hopes and dreams, and we'll be left guessing at who and where things went wrong.

If Dwight goes to Dallas I might literally puke.
