Me likes... It has the same Font as the Texans...Not sure what it is... I didn't know they were getting new uni's...Are they moving into a new facility... It's a keeper...
No, they built new a new practice facility but they'll be playing in the lame ass Georgia Dome for a while I would guess. Sorry if this is the wrong forum but I never know if I should put NFL news in the hangout or here. I think this forum should be expanded to include NFL and MLB.
That's pretty sweet. They made the new logo becuase new team owner Arthur Black (I think that's his name) wanted a new logo and identity for his new franchise. Since he took over he has changed everything else with the franchise. He added Mike Vick and shelled out the money to land Warrick Dunn. He will eventually make renovations to the Georgia Dome. Basically, he is another Dan Snyder, except smarter for constructing a young team that will be a winner. Just a heads up.........Keep a look out for the Lions to release a new logo and uniform too. they tried to do it last year when they moved into Ford Field, but they were to late. All indications are they will use the Denver Broncos uniform design to create their new look. The colors will remain the same but black will be added.
Speaking of the "teams copying Reliant Stadium" thread, I guess you can re-title or sub-title this thread as the "teams copying the classic, cool Texans' Bull logo." Don't get me wrong, I like the new Falcon, but they could've been a little more subtle. Its like the Bull and Philly's logo had a child. Just waiting to see what logo the Bull mated with to create the Lions' new logo.
Falcons unveil new logo By George Henry, The Associated Press FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons unveiled a new team logo Wednesday — a modification of the original designed to look faster and more aggressive. "The new logo is a reflection ... of the dynamic new approach," Falcons owner Arthur Blank said. "The Falcon is aggressive, fast. I think it reflects our team on offense and defense." The old Falcons logo, designed by graphic artist Wayland Moore, had not changed since the team debuted in 1966. The new logo adds the color red and tilts the design forward to create a sense of movement. "We wanted to make sure we evolved (the logo)," said Dick Sullivan, the team's executive vice president of marketing and sales. "We didn't want to eliminate history." Next month, the Falcons will unveil new uniforms, which will use the logo on the side of helmets. Blank said quarterback Michael Vick was consulted about the new design, and fans were allowed to give input as well. "We've done focus groups and we did intercepts at malls. Players, coaches and fans all had their say," Sullivan said.
I like the old logo better because it reminds me of Jamal Anderson in 98 and Deion when he was great.
I do like it ................but honestly it looks like something you would see used for an Arena Football League team........... makes you wonder if the new unifroms will follow the same path.
My high school used the old Logo, except it was Purple and/or Gold. I like it. It does look more agile, and aggresive. Tigereye. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. I think this is the first time somebody has thrown me in their profile. ::sheds tear::
