My physical tools says I can be a Steve Kerr.

    Good shooting can be developed.

Elite shooting is part innate and part developed, when young.

Dirk, Allen, Durant were crazy shooters by 18.

Not to say the Greek can't be good. I think he may develop into a very good two-way player, but he's not going to shoot like Durant.

Except Durant was a lot faster and stronger than this guy. Had more skill. I don't see the hype for him he looks slow. Only Durant comparison is that he's tall and skinny. Going off youtube videos will not help Jan Vesely looked like a star overseas look how that turned out

Reminds me more of Tayshaun Prince than any of the stars.

I'm betting on Giannis. He's young and seems got all the tools and skills to be successful. All he needs to maintain is that passion to improve. Bird, MJ, Kobe, LBJ got the same passion to improve each year even after winning it all.

Adetokunbo is only 18, equivalent to a HS senior, so it would be hard to evaluate him against his competition even if he were in the States. Teams didn't draft kids out of high school looking for role players, they wanted stars. Looking at the history of players drafted out of HS, teams did a pretty good job overall. They'll probably judge Adetokunbo by the same criteria. Like you said, that article wasn't groundbreaking.

If none of those guys are willing to stay overseas then the international prospect stash-away thing isn't looking so good for us...

If he comes to the NBA now, does it increase his chances of busting?

Well, 'uh. I don't think he really has a say in the matter, now does he. It's not like he has some huge buyout clause that he has to agree to help pay for.

They can't demand to play. That's like saying Royce White can demand not to go to RGV.

This is just an Agent trying to get his client paid 1st Round salary, right away.

Not sure what Givony is trying to say. Having draft rights does not force the NBA team to bring him over.

It's usually the other way around. Star Euro Players who don't want to come over right away drop in the draft. Young Euro Players can't demand to come over right away.

    that's ridiculous.

NBA teams have to offer a contract if the drafted player wants it.

Wow haha, what a dumb move the agent and or Aptekunbo himself. Guy could've been on OKC in 1-2 years

Well I suppose I would take him with the 34th pick if he's really falling that far due to his insistence on not playing overseas.
