So you want us to sign Josh Smith and kill off any chance of Dwight potentially joining the team?

That's not how you win championships.

Why the love for Josh Smith. He's just not that good. TJ could be at Smith's level by next season.

This draft reminds me of the disappointing one a couple years back that saw Valanciunas, Kanter, Vesely go higher than they should have gone. Hype machine is gettin out of control for some of these guys, and thr Rockets will benefit by taking an American (like Parsons that year) or an overlooked intl kid (like DMo that year).

This year I say screw it. Get Shabazz if he's there.

Josh Smith has never been an all-star so what's your point?

Objectively if the Rockets trade Robinson for a first, Rockets will most likely get more value in cap space and a future rookie contract than Patterson's expiring deal.

But you can easily make a case for him (which makes him an all star CALIBER talent)

Which is exactly what they are trying to do.
Screw Howard. We could get Aldridge and Bynum.

To be fair, Busty Morris did get benched at the end of the season at Phoenix IIRC. CH has provided facts against TRob, legitimate facts, but many times, people just troll respond to them. It goes both ways.

I didnt think about that. Chicago plans on trading Thomas Robinson to Portland for LMA. If the bulls get Aldridge for a trade centered around robinson, I will not be happy at all.

Is it any coincidence that LMA wants out of portland and traded to Chicago? Chicago is trying to accomodate a trade that would net them Aldridge.

I want Lamarcus! And Dwight! That's right, I want my cake and eat it too!

    Short answer: No

But when you get right down to it , I think both Carl and the "Anti-Carl's" have a solid argument.

I believe Carl is correct that Patterson is the better player (right now).

I believe the Anti-Carl's are correct that Robinson has the higher value in a trade situation and also has more upside than Patterson.

    Question:

If the Rockets trade Robinson in a single player trade for a draft choice or cash , will they generate a trade exception in the execution of that deal while under the salary cap.

Simplified version - Do you have to be over the cap to create a TPE ?!
