Reading that makes me even more excited for the upcoming season. Watt simply can do what no one else can do.

It's funny how that article makes a point to call Watt a one-trick pony. I always found it fascinating last season how his only real pass rush "move" was the swim move...but that it seeemed to work so well all the time, despite offensive linemen knowing it was coming. I'm not a student of football enough to diagnose what it is about JJ that made that possible (like they did in that article) but it has always astonished me when players perfect a move to the point of everyone knowing it is coming and being powerless to stop it.

One thing I noticed about JJ last season that wasn't mentioned in the article is his reaction time to the snap. Often I think his swim move worked so well because he got into so quickly from his snap timing.

this article assumes that all swims moves are the same. i've seen him do 3 or 4 different types of swim moves and probably more i just don't recognize. i've seen a swim under, swim over, one arm, two arm, feint swim, etc... i've seen him do a spin and then swim.

it's like saying all a basket player does is a crossover. there are many different kinds and ways to execute a crossover dribble.

The move that blows me away is during run plays when he goes the opposite way of the flow to get around the O-Lineman and catches the RB in the backfield.

Most lineman just string it out the same direction and get them at the line of scrimmage.
