Let's be realistic, we can't afford both of them because no one is stupid enough to take Jeremy Lin's contract, albeit for only 2 years.

Does anyone know what the expiring year is worth if traded? I know there was some weird way that it affected our salary cap and I don't understand all of the rules of trading and salaries.

For Lin & Asik's contracts, I believe it's still worth 8.3 on the cap, but the actual salary is like $15 in that last year. So if you're going to trade Lin, this would be the year to do it I think. Cap wise it'll always be 8.3, but if you trade Lin this year and send out $3 mil in cash with him, you make his effective salary for year 2 and 3 around 8.3 million still.

Cap wise it's worth the same thing all three years. Real dollar wise he is owed a much larger amount in the third year.

That said, I don't think his contract is really that big of a deal.

now that we are a week and half away from free agency opening, i feel comfortable with dwight coming here to houston. now cp3 im not so sure because i think he will eventually stay with the clippers, almost like how deron williams was last year. Deron i believed talked to other teams but stayed with brooklyn and the same thing will happen to cp3. as far as dwight, if he stays in la, i wont hate him but it wont be a smart choice basketball reasons to stay but if he comes here i will be thrilled so i hope he makes the right decision and comes to houston

I seriously started laughing out loud when he listed the coaches for CP3.

Doc Rivers, Byron Scott, Brian Shaw, or Lionel Hollins.

My guess is pictures of Dwight dining with Rockets players, which was reported/rumored to have happened a little while ago. Just my guess.

Not that this would be conclusive proof of Dwight's intentions but it would definitely freak out Lakers fans to see photos of Dwight breaking bread with Parsons, sharing buns with Harden or tossing salad with Royce White.
