I am watch the Jazz vs Clippers game right now (I am probably the only one on this site who is doing that:D :D :D ). And guess what, Wang Zhizhi is starting for the Clippers!!! Chinese fans on this site, you'd better pray Wang shows his stuff and deserves his chance. He got screwed so many times in the NBA by bad luck, so he finally started a game. I kinda feel bad for him, on the otherside, he made some bad decisions in last summer, so he kinda deserves it. Anyway, I hope he can dominate Ostertag in this game. Oh, Go Jazz.

    12 points on 3 of 8 shooting.

Clippers shot a collective 26% FG, that's truly stunning.

    WANG ZHIZHI C 26 3-8 0-1 6-7 2 3 5 0 2 2 2 0 12

12 pts on 3/8 fg, 5 rbs, 2 asts 26 minutes, not bad though the fg% is kinda low. Well, obviously he will get more chance down the road with this kind of performance. good luck.

Wang lost 5 FG in a row and then made the next 3 in trash time. It's a very poor game by Wang and the Clippers.

Oh, Wang has the 2nd highest score after COREY MAGGETTE's 13 pts (4/15). Clippers suck so Wang's better stay with the clippers next season. He will get more playtime.

I deeply believe that Wang Zhi Zhi might be someone one day. what he need to do is trying his best to prove to the coach that he has the ability.

OK, here is my analysis on Wang's game last night. Before I write about him though, I have to say, that game was one of the most boring game I've ever watched. The clippers looked horrible, plainly horrible. I haven't seen a team that bad for a long long long time. No passing, shooting bad, no energy and incredible selfishness. The are just badly bad. I only reason I had to keep me watching it is to see if Wang would do anything.

Now, back to Wang. He is NOT good at all. For the first three quarters, he looked like he was on drug (probably some ancient chinese mysterous ones). His fat body just floated between the two ends of the floor, and he did absolutely nothing. He had no energy, no hussle, no rebounding, no defense. When you see Ostertag pinned him down deep in the paint, got the ball and score on him like that, you know how bad his defense is. On offense, when he got into position, he tried to rise the arm and ask for the ball from Andre Miller. However, he did it in the way that the English Queen waves to his people --- slightly wave his arm in a gentle way. That showed alot of confidence right? Andre Miller totally ignored him and pass the ball to others. I would too if I were Miller.

In the fourth quarter, he showed some flashes of a decent offensive player. However, that was in the garbage minutes of the game, so it didn't tell that much. He did a pretty nice dunk in the last two minutes of the game. Well, if I were 7 foot and no one was guarding me, I would too.

Overall, I don't think Wang is good enough to start on a NBA team. I even doubt he can be a good backup. Since backup centers usually provide some energy while the starting center is absent. Wang is not energetic whatsoever.

Here is what I have to say to the Chinese fans on this site --- stop believing Wang Zhizhi is somehow better offensively than Yao Ming. Saying that is a joke. I believe you that was the case back in the CBA. However, things change as time goes. You can't have one impression several years ago and still hold it true forever, no matter what the current circumstance is. You guys already have a awesome smart hansome asskicking dominating electrofying flying superstar stud center in Yao Ming. Be proud of him and enjoy that. I wish there are more Asian players come to the NBA and succeed. However, don't lie to yourself saying Wang is good as well. He is NOT good. Don't tell me here my conclusion is based on one game, that's not true. My conclusion is based on his performance in three years. I think his style is best suited for CBA or European league, where the competition is not as physical and finess/skills are emphasized more. However, Wang screwed himself up for messing with the Chinese government, and that is a nono. Well, I feel bad for this guy, and I still wish him the best.

Wang needs some confidence. i beleive he could be a very good player, but his defense and rebound does need a lot of work to be decent. he does looks like on drug all the time
