I work with someone who puts whole pizza boxes in the fridge and is often the only one eating it.

Im a 12 hour shift worker. Grounds for trouble eating someone else's food. There's a table in the control room called hogs law. Fair game if its on the table. Any where else is a possible ass kicking or loss of a 6 figure job. The only notes on fridge warns of food poisoning (food left to spoil) and last night of set warning that everything will be thrown away before new shift. 12 hours is a long time to go without eating.

There was a guy at work who had a mini-fridge and sold cans of drink for a dollar (much less than our vending machine). It worked on an honour system; take a can, drop a buck into the container. After a while he noticed that the money didn't match the number of cans taken. He sent out an email asking people to remember to pay for the drinks. After a couple more weeks the thieving of cans didn't stop. He sent out another much angrier email.

He decided to install a webcam to catch the thieves and it turned out that one of the cleaners would come in at odd hours of the night to take drinks. As in, at 1am, the cleaner would come into the office with his girlfriend, take a couple of cans of drink then leave. He obviously got fired after that.
