Duncan's success doesn't bother me one bit. He and the Spurs organization are class acts that win the right way. They're the Pittsburgh Steelers of the NBA with the way they conduct business, draft their talent and then keep/dump the correct players.

Everybody knows Dream was the better player; but on paper, Duncan is more accomplished. I generally avoid these types of discussions for that reason.

Classic. And just look at the other gif of the block. You can see him direct it right to a teammate cutting across the perimeter. Can't remember who that was. The greatest shot blocker in history, who aimed his blocks more often than not, instead of mindlessly wacking them wherever they might go.

    Duncan is one Spur.

You may have read my post wrong. I capitalized EVERY.

I'm not trying at all. I'm just stating the truth.

    I'm happy for Tim Duncan.

You don't get it do you?? you really don't.
It's not about Spurs or Spurs fans, its about education.

Do Bulls fans have to justify how great Jordan is to Bulls fans? No.

Why are people on "Clutchfans" complaining about homerism. This is a board dedicated to the Houston Rockets and originally created by Houston Rockets fans. Maybe folks would be more happy at a general NBA-related message board.

In regards to Hakeem vs. Duncan, I'm not even sure homerism really comes into play. People who've played against and with both say that Hakeem is better. If you actually watched Olajuwon, you'd know he was the better player. Clearly Duncan is more accomplished, but Hakeem is the better player.

You tell the fake fans who never saw Dream play to stop comparing him to players that he would absolutely destroy then.

But that ain't going to happen. So Destructicons form Devestator .

I already listed who he's better than.

What part of EVERY do y'all not get.

    Bingo.

There are too many of these people who feel they understand things that they never saw.

That goes for every player, Ralph Sampson, Jordan, etc. You know these fools never saw them play, they should quit acting like they know.

So this thread wasn't inspired by the monster game 37 year old Duncan had in the NBA Finals? If it was, then that's what I'm talking about. If not, then what the hell made you start a thread comparing Hakeem to all Spurs ever? It's such an odd and random thing to do.

I do get it. Either you're A) an internet personality/troll like Ronny or you're B) very sensitive about Hakeem and other Rockets, and get really upset when someone says something about them that you think doesn't flatter them enough. In either scenario, it's kind of sad, and reminds me of 2012ers.

Bulls fans do not have to justify how great MJ was. True. But here I have a revelation for you: Rockets fans do not have to justify Hakeem's greatness. Anyone who claims to be a Rockets fan (or basketball fan in general) and is ignorant of Hakeem, isn't worth the time, and certainly not worth a thread in the GARM, where all you're doing is preaching to the choir.

Just take it easy. Relax. It is not your responsibility to respond with over the top praise to every perceived slight of a former Rocket.

You notice I clearly capitalized the word EVERY
and gave examples of every Spur and more

yet people keep thinking it's about one Spur.

I think 12 year olds understand the word "EVERY"

I don't see you trying to educate the masses, you can help.

You're part of this too. Why do I have to be Bobby Brown, you need to step up Ralph Trevant

What the hell is wrong with you guys who criticize Tinman? Since when do we start going off on our most loyal, dedicated fans? Jeez- first, there is an element of seriousness with his posts, but there are also ones that are obviously more tongue-in-cheek. It would be nice if some of you cared more about the legacy of your favorite team- I'm telling you right now, Steelers fans revere Bradshaw, Swann, Lambert, Ham, Harris, etc.- and Golden State Warriors fans should absolutely put Rick Barry up on the highest pedestal. Time may fade memory, but it does nothing to negate achievements. Rockets fans who don't know about Malone, Hayes, Murphy, Tomjanovich the player should be ASHAMED of themselves. Know your history and revere your history b/c the Rockets, based on great players, championships, etc. are one of the top 10 franchises in the history of the NBA.
