    wait, who is instigating who?

i thought by definition, the trolls are the ones instigating the lin fans.

so fans of a rockets player are not allowed to make positive comments about this rockets player on a rockets forum for fear of troll attacks?

There are so many red lines in this thread, someone feeding the trolls?

Re-watched the video this morning. It's still awesome. Thanks again for making/sharing it!

Haha cheers. Was a bit different making a video for Scola, considering his propensity for 'below the rim' play. I would've actually really liked to see the Lin/Harden/Parsons/Scola/Asik lineup, but hinesight is 20/20.

Doubt it, he doesn't want to give the opportunity to other teams to get better ;)

The internet is such a weird place. When I talked to Rockets fans from Houston IRL and tell them the truth; that before Lin signed with the team, I would only watch some Rockets games where as now it would most, if not all. And the reception I get is never any form of name calling or rudeness. It's mostly, "yea, I'm glad he's on the team too."
I have gotten a guy who jokingly called me a "bandwagoner," but my response was a simple shrug. I guess words hurt more when they are read?

or maybe the internet really does bring the worst out of people.

I was playing pickup and there was this german guy who was about 6ft9, Dont see many people that height in Aus, struck up a conversation afterwards asked him who he went for and he "The Mavs, duh. I told you I'm german" I actually felt a bit sheepish.

Theres nothing inherently wrong with following a team cause of player X cause he's from a certain country/ethnicity, its the same reason i trade for Patty Mills in 2k13, when Tony Douglas is actually a monster in the game.

But that shouldn't warp how you evaluate player performance, as long as people are objective about it its not an issue. But when people say Lin is the second coming of CP3 or Finals MVP Tony Parker, it gets under peoples skin. But conversely when people say he's a scrub/Dleaguer etc, when his play over the course of his career suggests otherwise its just this never ending conflict.

Lin will always have haters. But everyone does. I follow JR Smith/ppatt and a bunch of nba players on IG and some of the stuff said is downright revolting.

I love the backdoor cuts from Parsons. Lin always seems to find Chandler when he cuts, they have great chemistry. In the beginning of the season Lin and Harden ran a similar play. The bounce pass is definitely not utilized enough these days, so I'm glad Jeremy has a good grasp with that skill, now he needs to work on left handed passes as well ala Nash, which will open so many new angles to his already solid passing game. There's no reason not to expect a better Jeremy this next season (whether he's still with the team or not).

I wanted to see more 3s. He made a bunch. Let's see 'em.

What stuck out to me were the boring announcers.

If you guys notice the assists, Jeremy is elite at driving to the hole and then dishing to a Big who is rolling to/under the rim who can finish. It looks ultra-sexy in the highlights, but Omer was the main big Jeremy would dish it to and he fumbled a lot of easy finishes due to his subpar hands/finishing ability. Lin's assist rate would be near 8 if a competent big was played alongside of him often as his dishes are probably 70/30 in favor of dishing to a center in the paint as opposed to kicking out to a jumpshooter (Which is what most of Harden's assists are.)

    Like this? :) Lin's top 10 assists in Feb. 2012 (not 2013).

^ Lol, yes. Tyson Chandler is the best finishing big in the league though, I think that's what got lost in that Linsanity stretch in New York. Dude shot 60+ percent for the last 3 seasons.

These are great highlights. Show the potential of JLin. People should remember that this is basically a very young pg and if he can do these more consistently (which any young player will), he will be a star or a power to reckon with. If we get Howard next season, those Tyson Chandler dunk highlights will repeat in Houston.

Exactly! Tyson mentioned that it was fun playing with Jeremy. If Jeremy claims to get better next season, he will. He loves challenges even if he challenges himself.
