Wow is all I have to say. Stephen King is ahead of our time. I will not put any spoilers on here, This movie is a must see.
You remember final fantasy the spirits within? well look to me like the same type of animation, good short storyline. If i read correctly their is gonna be 9 more of these shorts till the movie comes out. The sword fight was pretty good, seductive. It was funny had some guy in back of me after watching Animatrix make a quote "what the hell was that" is the movie over? lol Dreamcatcher had good special effects, the creature sequences were top notch,If you like independence day,the thing, and aliens then you will enjoy this one.
Worse movie I've seen this year. The flight of the Osiris was worth the money I spent, it was much better.
I wanted to see the movie for 2 reasons. One because i like horror movies, and two because i liked the preview. But i looked at the reviews and they were pretty bad. So im not sure im gonna go and see it
Dude, I totally agree, I haven't seen the movie, but from the previews it looks like a remake of the thing, except in a snowy forest instead of the Artic. If it is remotely close to The Thing, I will be highly disappointed.
First of all movie critics are idiots, you will never see a movie critic give a good rating to a horror flick. If you wanna see a movie that a critic gives thumbsup too i suggest you go to Chicago I have not seen it nor would I want to. If your a King fan and you understand his genre then you will like this movie.
You can watch the first 2 animatrix shorts online right now. http://www.intothematrix.com/ They take a while to load though. The first one is very interesting, you can see the set up for why the machines would takeover the world.
I know critics are REALLY off sometime. But I go to Yahoo movies and it gives about 30-35 reviews from many diffrent places. And they were almost all negative for Dreamcatcher. Its hard to argue with that many people that didnt like the movie.
King's books are exciting, fun to read. However, i am really not a big fan of any movies based on his books. They are no good. I mean, all these movies just can't capture the thrill, the essence of King's books. I'd rather wait for a week to see"The Core"
Got 27 positive reviews out of 97 here: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/Dreamcatcher-1120951/ Not a good sign.
