I just wanted to give you guys heads up that you can now place your pre-porders for PS4 at either Amazon Newegg Walmart for $400.
what's the point of preordering? It feels better to walk into the store and carry the system out with you.
I doubt you will be able to go to a store and walk out with it for a couple of weeks or even months once it is released. Especially since its being released during the holiday season. I could be wrong though. The beauty of pre-ordering from these companies is this: You dont get charged for it once it is ready to be shipped and anytime from now until then, you can cancel your pre-order and lose nothing. You are basically reserving one for yourself risk-free.
Unless you go to Game-stop they are taking pre orders as well.. I'm not much of a gamer and I still have a ps3 that's still works. It's going to be about 10 more years till I upgrade and by then it'll be PS6.
They don't charge you until it ships? So I'm not giving them a no interest loan? I'll probably do it if that's the case.
Do you want to do that just for the sake of showing others you are "walking out with one" at release time, or are you really just doing it to be "the first" and have some popularity? Both seem a bit materialistic and incorrect to me... if you want one first and before anyone else, then get it in any manner... you know?
Amazon's Launch Edition is the preorder version of the PS4 that will ship on the release date. Unfortunately they're all sold out of the PS4 Launch Editions and are now only taking preorders on the Standard Edition which is basically Amazon shipping those orders as they get more inventory after the Launch Edition versions.
Like Tommyboy in the post above said. I was able to pre-order on the first day and my order ended up being the launch edition, so Amazon is guaranteeing release day delivery for mine. If you place an order now, you are not guaranteed release day delivery, but as soon as one becomes available.
I only pre-ordered one and I will be using it. You should look into placing a pre-order at your local Gamestop.
Can I come over and play BF4? It'll only be mildly awkward at first, Battlefield doubles as a social lubricant.
