He complaint, but he didn't arrange undertable trade and rode the coattails.
Kobe didn't join Spurs in 2004 or Celtics in 2008, he's too proud. Otherwise he'd easily have more rings right now.

LeBron faced more pressure in Game 6 against Boston last year than Kobe has in his career, and came through with one of the clutchest performances ever. In Game 7 against Boston Kobe singlehandidly kept Boston in the game with all of his bricklaying and had to be saved by, Pau, Artest, and Joey. And, of course Fisher, who told Kobe to stop shooting the ball. LOL at talking abut rebounds (why not mention Pau's 18 then?). You Kobe nobmunchers are such hypocrites, since you always ignore LeBron's all around game when he isn't hitting buckets, but with Kobe you celebrate like he's Dennis Rodman after one game.

He had no choice because he wasn't a free agent. LeBron was and he left just like hundreds of players before him. There's nothing wrong with that. No player would have ever won a title with the crap cast in Cleveland.

So whose coattails is Lebron riding at this point? You made coattail plural so I'm definitely interested in this answer.

Wade and Bosh signed Heat before LeBron did. Even if LeBron is a better player than those two today, it wouldn't change who rode the coattails. You can't rewrite history.

Kobe's a free agent in 2004, he had one more year left in 2008 and he could force a trade easily.

Kobe won 5 out of 7 finals, LeBron is about to lose 3 out of 4. Enough said, numbers don't lie.

What goodbug doesn't realize is that in ten years no one will care how things happened. They'll look at awards, accomplishments, and rings and LeBron will have blown a Kobe so far out of the water by then that Kobe's "legacy" will just be a footnote. It's hard for these guys to accept but you can already see it coming. Kobe hasn't been relevant since 6 for 24.

The last three Finals involved opponents that swept Kobe's Lakers and LeBron has done better than Kobe in all of them, including one, probably two championships. Enough said, numbers don't lie.

Personally I think Kobe rode Shaq's coattails to a few rings. He certainly wasn't winning anything until Shaq got there and a few years later, Gasol.

    One raped.

    the other didn't.

I don't think the fight between good and evil was ever so obvious. Do you condone rape? is what it amounts to.

Yep, and that is how history remembers it once the Kobe fan parade finally disappears now that their idol is an old cripple.

This thread should be renamed to "the pendulum of public opinion; RE: Lebron James"

Kobe didn't demand to play for the Lakers before he was drafted. That's just a myth. Jerry West and Arn Tellem talked Calipari/Nets out of taking him at 8 so he could fall to the Lakers at 13. Kobe would have been the happiest kid alive if the 6ers would have taken him instead of Iverson that year.

Heat win, they have 3 trophies. San Antonio, 5.

End of story: We need more trophies.

    Come on down, Dwight!

Maybe, but Kobe also refused to workout with Charlotte, citing that he wanted o play in a bigger market. Had he gone there, he would have had it like LeBron in Cleveland and most likely would have opted out at some point as LeBron did. There is no shame in moving when your team stinks. GMs do itto players all the time, so why is thereverse so bad?

How can you ride someone's coattails when your the closer and playmaker of a team? Without Kobe they don't win 3 rings
