1. Play defense 2. Run the offense through Yao. 3. Cut to the damn basket. 4. Finish strong (Mo T and EG especially) you guys are tall and athletic, do not shy away from contact, it will get you easy free throws when the other team fouls you. No more 3s for EG!!! He is wasting away his own talent and needs some coaching. 5. Take care of the damn ball.
My rant is with the lack of leadership by these guys. No one has taken up to be the man and to put the other guys in their places as role players.
Watching the Golden State game, it looks like maybe the players are starting to find their niche and understanding their roles on the team better. Yao - option 1: look to score every time you get the ball (like in the 4th Q last night) Francis - play maker: get everyone involved early, score when the team needs you to (7 assists in the first half, took over near the end of the game) Cat - spot up shooter: take the open shots, only go one-on-one if there's a huge mismatch (like when Dunleavy was guarding him) Posey - slasher: attack the basket ferociously every time, never settle for a shot outside of 15 feet (had countless lay-ups last night, his slashing was causing havok for the GS D) Eddie – spot up shooter: make your open shots (shot 5-10 (50%) last night)
