Is it just me or did Steve turn into an assist machine every time after Glen Rice called out the team? I remember earlier in the season there's an article about Rice calling for more unselfish passing. Then the very next game, Steve took only 3 shots and racked up 10+ assists. And it Looks like the same thing happened again today. I think that's what they called veteran leadership eh? Good for you to speak out, Glen.
Maybe, but he wasn't talking about anyone in particular when he spoke after the Portland game. The two games b/4 Rice showed his "leadership" (against SEA and POR) Francis had 16 assist total in those games -- avg. of eight. Francis has been playing his ass off the past couple weeks.
I do think the Rockets play better after Rice or someone else on the team pointed out the screw-ups of previous games. At least they listen. Trouble is their attention span is short! They forget easy.
What are you talking about? hes doing what it takes to spark a change on this team. Thats a leadership quality. He just trying to help this team.
