This just seems like a really, really, really turrible idea... and i'm just talking about the purchase you made. Maybe if it was something recent, it would work. And why come on here? Go sell them where Katrina actually hit. That's your best bet. Stand on street corners.

perhaps a bad investment but someone else already made money off of felix for him to buy them.

At least he doesnt makes 685k off the dying backs of breast cancer like susan g komen scam:

"Brinker still holds her position and tax documents reveal that she received a 64 percent raise and now makes $684,000 a year, according to the charity’s latest available tax filing. Komen says the raise came in November 2010, prior to last year’s controversy.
Ken Berger, president and CEO of Charity Navigator, which evaluates and rates charities, called Brinker’s salary “extremely high.”
“This pay package is way outside the norm," he said. "It's about a quarter of a million dollars more than what we see for charities of this size. ... This is more than the head of the Red Cross is making for an organization that is one-tenth the size of the Red Cross.”

surely felix cant be as bad as the guys over at kids 'wish' network who use the word 'wish' to scam people into thinking the money goes to sick kids. TALK ABOUT SICK:

Every year, Kids Wish Network raises millions of dollars in donations in the name of dying children and their families.
Every year, it spends less than 3 cents on the dollar helping kids.
Most of the rest gets diverted to enrich the charity's operators and the for-profit companies Kids Wish hires to drum up donations.
In the past decade alone, Kids Wish has channeled nearly $110 million donated for sick children to its corporate solicitors. An additional $4.8 million has gone to pay the charity's founder and his own consulting firms.
No charity in the nation has siphoned more money away from the needy over a longer period of time.

For a list of turds that make felix look like a patron saint:

tsk tsk to felix but perhaps if anything some of you will think twice before running off and donating such worthy scammers like komen and their ilk.

Good charities usually spend ~25-30% (or less) on admin costs, marketing, collections, and salaries. The rest should go to the direct cause.

In America, first you get the bracelets, then you get the power, then you get the women.

I sell things on Ebay and I have several people that bring things to me to post or sell online. The guy that owns them is giving me 10% to sell them. He and I both recognize they are nearly impossible to move...he has had them in storage for several years...the only way I figured we would have any chance of selling them is if we gave a percentage to a charity.

He never told me exactly how much he had invested, but I'm assuming its a lot considering the storage fees involved.

Many here have made their own assumptions and have passed judgment on me without knowing all the facts, but whatever.
