I think for most basketball players. Not partying in every city they go to would probably effect their performance more than steroids.
I raise you.... Steroids aren't necessarily about getting bigger. Jaws just grow like that? Its all hearsay though. Who knows. I still think a lot of players probably do forms of steroids based on the simple fact that it isn't tested for. Spoiler
When players like Rashard Lewis, Hedo Turkoglu and Don McLean get busted for steroid use in the NBA it makes it extremely hard for me to believe a lot of other guys are not on some form of juice
Can you hook me up with whatever roids make the human mandible grow wider in grown men? I'm pretty sure they don't exist.
Actually, yes. A lot of men's jaws will widen once they get closer to 30. Mine did and i noticed it on other guys, who i've known for years, too. You can probably attribute it to jaw tension and eating more than before (or more solid foods). Both will tighten and/or increase the size of the masseter muscle. What you have to remember is that the jaw bone actually curves inward, not outward. The parts that primarily stick out are actually muscle tissue, not bone. If you look at Wade's face, the primary area of growth is his lower cheek area, not the bony point of the jaw: Botox is actually used to weaken/shrink this muscle for those who want to get the slimmer look back: As you can see, muscle hypertrophy, alone, can account for the growth of his jaw. It wouldn't be far fetched, considering most teens/college students eat and snack on junk which is usually liquid or easily broken down. As an NBA pro looking to chandler bang with the big boys, Wade would not only have to eat more, but also eat food that's tougher to chew, like meat (protein).
I'm sure he is, but if everyone is and he's still that much better than everyone else, does it really matter?
I don't even like James, but I don't understand why it's necessary to accuse the guy of something like this just because he's freakishly athletic and built like an NFL linebacker. Hell, Dream was beyond insanely good, able to do things on the court that no mortal man had ever been able to do before. Does anyone think he did this crap? Of course not. Yet I remember seeing him at UH as a freshman walking around during his redshirt year, more like a tall stick than what most people remember from his days in the league. It's possible to simply dislike a player without coming up with some awful thing to accuse them of doing.
