Whoa, I hope more people give them a listen. I'm glad somebody mentioned them to me, I never hear them on the radio despite the fact that a lot of bands have been influenced by them or influenced by a band they influenced.
I don't necessarily revere the albums as much as others - I think they were somewhat inconsistent and marred by a rather clunky rhythm section. But the best Big Star songs are also among the best songs in popular music of the last 50 years. And more personally, "The Ballad of El Goodo" got me through a really unhappy time in my life. So I'm really interested in seeing this.
