2D was good enough for me. I'm not really a fan of live action 3D movies.

honestly that frightened me more than "The Purge" did because, well its the squeaky clean Superman image turned into a effing badass.....

saw it in 3D, didn't think it was anything special, 2D is good enough, the $3 premium isn't worth it, Star Trek was the only one worth it this year

also fwiw, for those who are taking kids, fair warning there is a bit of "shock" value part in the movie

I grew up watching the DC animated shows and still watch every standalone DC Animated Movie. With that said, this felt like a live action version of one of those. And that is a good thing.

3D wasn't horrible, but if I had the choice in my group, I would've gone with 2D.

Hey did anyone notice any of these easter eggs in the movie that were meant to refrence the larger DC world this movie is taking place in?

They have a running tally going over at IMDb. I noticed some of these but not all of them...

    Link:
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0770828/board/nest/215841455?p=1

    -Wayne Enterprises Logo on Satellite
    -LexCorp Logo on numerous things
-Zod leaving his armor on LexCorp building - a hint at a possible Lex storyline with his armor.
-Empty Pod in the Fortress - reference to Kara from the pre-release prequel comic book tie-in for the movie. You can read that prequel comic in it's entirety here.
-Operation: Trident - possible reference to Aquaman?
    -Ubiano Casino - Kryptonite
-Sullivan Farm - possible Chloe Sullivan reference
    -Emil Hamilton - a S.T.A.R labs reference
-Blaze Comics - a Booster Gold reference

Also David Goyer said there would be a Cyborg reference in the movie but I definitely didn't catch that one...

    Anyone here catch anything else?

I only noticed the first one you mentioned but I already knew going into it what it was.

Good to hear, the Timmverse is what got me into superheroes in the first places. Sounds like I'll enjoy this film quite a bit.

Great to hear that the critics score isn't keeping people from watching a great superhero movie.

Better story? Dude the mythology of Superman has been going on since the beginning time.. Like you said, action and director and bigger budget with the latest technology makes it all the difference.
