This is probably smoke created by Howard's agent. There have been too much leaks lately confirming Howard coming to Houston. They want to make it as if he is still undecided.

 

Great point speaking right to the heart of what the root problem is in LA.

 

I actually can't tell if this is sarcasm lol. While obviously Spurs ownership > LAL's current ownership, and I would choose the Spurs organization over LAL myself, is the recent change of ownership really the root of LAL's problem? Not health or injuries or lack of chemistry, but the owner? Really?

 

Kyler isn't even in the preferred circle of Howard's agent, though. If Team Howard wants to get a message out, they'll either go to Rudolph/Kennedy (their guys) or Woj/Stein (seen as most credible by the league). They're not telling Steve Kyler and no one else.

Howard had indicated Brooklyn was the destination of his choice but the reality is unless the Lakers take on Lopez and his contract, it's not going to happen. The Lakers will be going after Love and Aldridge in 2014 if Howard leaves so ineffect they wont want anything to do with Lopez and his multi year deal.Just like they wont do a Lin and Asik sign and trade.

 

Howard had passive aggressively dissed Deron this last season. I don't think he wants to play with them anymore.

and S&T is laughable.... the 5th year doesn't really matter (would opt out anyway) and why would D12 go somewhere that just had to empty the cupboard to get him (Brooklyn) vs goin somewhere where he would be added to an already playoff caliber squad....

As long as you are being unrealistic, why say 8-10 million? Maybe they will sign for 5 million. Total.
