Actually they haven't been doing it for 12 years they let it sit for a time. All the while certain members of the current administration were pushing for war.
That was late in the game before they came to the UN and asked for 1441. War plans had already started before that. During the early stages they should have been working with other countries to get something done.
While they are supporting the effort and technically in the coalition, they aren't paying the money, or providing the military support that the U.S. got in the first gulf war. True there are many countries that are on record as supporting the U.S. It's just they aren't putting anything behind there support.

That was a good post you made, even though I disagree with it.

Honestly, how long is too long? When do you draw the line and say enough is enough? IMHO he (Sadom) should of been forcefully disarmed and relieved of his power before we left the last time we kicked his sorry a$$. The fact that he has ignored and evaded his punishment this long is a slap in the face of all the good men that gave their lives in the gulf war. I think the USA has been more than patient with the UN's attempt at diplomacy and has every right to stand up to this tyrant.

Simply put :p We for the most part were the ones that put it on the line in Dessert Storm and we lost lives doing it. Therefore we have every right to hold him to his responsibilities for his crimes.

Maybe that’s because our leaders knew what we all know now. That Sadam had no intention of ever disarming unless he was forced to. And what are you trying to say that we didn't try before 1441?

Once again, are you trying to say that we didn't try? This is what I don't understand. All the anti war (tree huggers:p ) demonstrators say the Bush administration failed at diplomacy. Wasn’t it in fact the UN that failed at diplomacy? Aren’t they the ones that continuously put resolution after resolution in front of Sadam that never got anything accomplished?

That’s all right with me because you can’t put a price tag on this.

Well I guess we will just have to agree to disagree then.
Let me throw this at you. Say this habitual pervert was finally convicted of child molesting. His punishment is to turn himself in and get castrated. He gets one certified letter after another telling him to turn himself in and accept his punishment yet he does not comply. While this is going on certain DA’s are trying to convince the judge that this guy doesn’t deserve to just be castrated, that he needs to be locked up for good because has a proven track record of committing these horrible crimes.

Now are these other DA’s wrong to want this man locked up for good were he can’t do anymore harm? How many certified letters does this judge have to send this guy before it is acceptable to go drag this criminal out of his house and put him in jail where he can no longer commit these type of crimes? Get my point?
