Bold as in a bit more forward thinking. Yeah the DRM thing is stupid and maybe they eventually abandon it. Although I do like that they give you the option of buying a physical disc or downloading it. Having to be online and Kinect though, I can see those things potentially pushing games to another level. Maybe they do, maybe they don't. Maybe it only ends up being a means to spy on us more. Only time will tell. Again Microsoft could have just come out with a box that has better hardware and better graphics and called it a day. But they are trying some different things, and I'll give 'em credit for that (aside from DRM).
Yeah, they just came out with a device with lesser hardware and a fancy camera. For $100 more. Xbox makes money on ads more than their consoles now. That's why Xbox live is littered with them and they plan on adding more now. Seems like its not a platform for gamers but for media content.
What they are trying is not benefiting the consumer. Forcing you to get online? DRM? Invasion of privacy? Potentially selling personal information? Yeah, it's bold alright. "Again Microsoft could have just come out with a box that has better hardware and better graphics and called it a day." Are you high? That's what gamers want.
PS4 is sooo freaking ugly..... I'm sorry but I'm just simply gonna laugh if I ever go to a friends house who owns one.... Anyways, looking forward to Metal Gear and Battlefield.... Also, LOL at people making their decision based on the $399.... It can cost $199 or even $99.... Rather pay $100 for a console that actually provides good games and content.... I don't intend on selling or trading anything I buy... I have never in my life traded in a game at gamestop or sold it online.... Soooo I'm good .... Cant wait....
Who really cares what it looks like? It sits and stays under the TV and looks exactly like Xbone which looks like a standard black electronic box.
I know you weren't asking me, but I do borrow, lend, and give away games to friends, even though I hardly ever sell back games anymore. In fact, just yesterday I gave a friend four games that I no longer wanted.
Nope... Back then in middle school yeah.... Ever since I grew up, I stopped doing childish things like that... If a friend asks for a game to borrow I instead just give it to him... Done it several times...
Xbox One might not have PS4 beat with it's hardware but it's definitely gonna be a step up from the 360. So they are improving upon last generation but also trying to do some different things as well. Maybe it's a total fail but we can't possibly know that at this point. I dunno instead of complaining ad naseum about a console that is quite a few months away from even debuting, I'm willing to give both systems a chance. And ultimately for me it'll come down to the games.
Both not exclusive to XBox. Lets talk about games and lets talk about exclusives...what does Xbox have that PS4 gamers are going to desperately want to buy? You can reverse that and I'll just say "Whatever Naughty Dog puts out or Quantum Rain." I'm not as hard on the Xbox One as before, but the DRM, the Price point, AND the games (I've yet to see a Xbox exclusive to really wow me...even the 360 all the games I have other than Halo are cross platform...) so I don't know...PS4 has all the same games that Xbox has and has pretty good alternatives to the exclusives that Xbox has so far. Forza -Gran Turismo Halo - Destiny (not a exclusive, but PS4 players will have it) Game wise IMO (stressing that here. I realize some people LOVE halo) PS4 looks to be better and it's cheaper and has no DRM...
You will find out one day that PS4 has $hit games.... But w/e, enjoy your PS4... I will have no doubts on my next console... Hope you can say the same one year in...
I'm assuming by this you mean that you're going to wait a while longer to decide which one you want, rather than buying them both. But that makes me wonder: How many people here owned both a PS3 and 360 this generation? And what are your odds of doing that again? For myself, I bought a 360 first (simply because it came out first), and then later got a PS3 to play Demon's Souls. So I did own both. But in the end I barely touched my 360 after getting my PS3, both because the 360 tended to break a lot, and because there just weren't all that many exclusive games I cared about. This generation, I just don't see myself buying both machines again. There seems to be precious little incentive to do so.
The Last Of Us should have been a PS4 Launch Title and im really not feeling Gran Turismo 6 on the PS3, that game needs to be released for the PS4 as well
Sorry but Halo alone will outsell anything on PS.... Its what made Xbox what it is today and its what took PS out first place in console wars... Don't know how much they can squeeze out of Halo but at the moment its still crazy popular and there is no way I'm going to miss it..... Forget all the games Xbox showed today.... Forget all the games PS showed today. Who will have better exclusives in the years to come. I see Xbox winning easy over PS as usual...
Speaking as someone who competed in Halo professionally; if you really believe that you're incredibly niave.
