Ok, So I tried to get on my PC tonight, (Its a Piece of crap E-Machines running Windows 98 with a measly 466k and 278 RAM) And I'm getting this message Boot up from CD-ROM - Failed (normal) Boot up from Drive A - Failed (normal) Booted up from IDE Hard Disk - Failed (WTF?) Insert a Boot up disk into Drive A and hit any key to continue I don't know why it's saying this, It always boots up from the Hard Drive. the only thing I have that I could use to boot up the OS is my Restore disk, which I tried to no avail. Any Help would be greatly appreciated.
Hearing any noises? Or have you opened the pc up recently? Seems like the hard drive could have failed or a cable is loose.
thats what I'm thinking because It's not Detecting the hard drive now. And I don't d/l that stuff off Kazaa I use Grokster
Try looking into the BIOS (Setup F10 or F8) and see if it sees your hardrive...if not ...............unplug cable to hardrive and motherboard then reseat cable...also the power......if it still not seeing hardrive..that baby is probably a gonner
