    Random post:

I only figured out that Corpus Christi means "body of Christ" last week. It's one of those things where I would've figured it out if I thought about it, but it just never occurred to me. I felt stupid afterwards. Seconds later, I got over it.

Honestly there is not much to do there. I lived there for a while and it's preety much a dead city.

Executive Surf Club is a cool place for lunch and a beer. You can also kill a little time in the texas surf museum next door.

It's about as nice as you get in CC, although the view is decent it is of the bay and not the ocean.

I grew up there, and was back recently to play a show.

Fishing, surfing, sailing: that's better on the Island or Port Aransas. Don't go the awful beaches in the bay downtown. Downtown has a nice art museum, and as said previously, the State Aquarium, Whataburger Field and the Lexington.

Mexican food and seafood are good. My pick is Kiko's for mexican and Water Street Oyster bar for seafood.

Otherwise, it's self-destructive women with daddy issues, topless bars, bikers, gangsters, and massive amounts of cheap, high quality drugs. That goes doubly for Flour Bluff, which is where I went to high school :)

In short: Just go to Port Aransas. It's small, compact, the people are friendly drunks and it has a generally positive vibe and a lot less drama...it's just considerably more expensive in the high season. When I brought my band there for a few days we would have just stayed there if it wasn't so pricey.

    Listen to this for inspiration:
