Saw it here. Basically, the Magic are looking to drop a few spots, but might consider dropping even further down if a team will take Harrington off their hands (which is stupid, because they had no reason to trade for him in the first place).

With Saric possibly leaving, does anyone think the Mavs would trade their pick for Harrington+ the 2nd pick?

The Mavs are trying to shed salary to go after Dwight and or Chris Paul.

They want to trade their pick not trade up for a more salaried Rookie

No. That is a come on for Charlotte to move up for Oladipo. Orlando gets to move down and take McLemore and dump Harrington. Harrington plus the #2 pick would put Charlotte at about 90% of $58.5 million in salary for next season, a number they would obviously like to stay at since they have no intention of competing for the playoffs and want to maximize their lottery odds for 2014.

    Don't be silly.

The Magic did not trade for All Harrington. He came to them in the Dwight Howard trade. He had to be included to make the deal work. That's the only reason. They agreed to take his contract on given that they were getting multiple young players back (Afflalo, Vucevic, Markless).
