Looks like Texas thinks women are 'property'

I blame clinton for this one.

All states should copy this law. It's pretty clear that wrapping a house should result in the immediate death penalty for the 16 year olds engaged in such criminal mischief.

Just pointing out RR, do actually provide a link for your articles if you're going to talk about them.

The thing about it for me, is that in general articles which talk about some outrageous acquittal...make me pretty suspicious. I wasn't on the jury, I'm not going to pretend I know all of the facts about this case or whatever. See: Anthony, Casey.

    Usually do . . but I forgot.
    Here is a similar link:

The thing is. . in this country you are only as guilty as your lawyer is lousy.

Good Lawyers seem to be able to get anyone off

On Christmas eve he tries to buy sex and ends up killing a woman?
Sounds like an evil version of "Dumb and Dumber"!

He should at least go to jail for being stupid and now a stupid murderer!

This is just the sort of absurd behavior that has the world laughing at the State of Texas. Laughing, or shaking their heads in bewilderment. Since this is the one "active" thread in D&D at the moment not started by someone I have on ignore, I thought it deserved my opinion, RR. :-D-

Yeah, but only if it's dark outside. If it's daytime, you're screwed.

Based on the interpretation provided that seems like that could be the case, as long as said transaction happened at night. I agree with Kojirou though that not being on the jury we don't know exactly why this happened. The prosecutor could be very incompetent. That said I find this law very troubling. It puts property, no matter how trivial, above life.

My first thought, was the unfortunate need for the existence of pimps. Had she had one waiting in the driveway outside for his money, this likely would have been avoided.

So the jury felt sorry for the loser and helped get him off.

Seriously, I thought you were quoting yourself
