I would have loved to take a jab at Rudy right about now but I won't because of his condistion. Otherwise how can he justify assembling the worst set of Assistant Coaches in all basketball and have the guts to come to Sports Radio 610 to sell that crap to us.

    Insult!

Can Jim Boylan at least take over for the next game? At least he looks like he is smarter than Larry Smith. They are probably both crappy but I bet Jim is less crapy than the rest of them. Nonsense.

I would love to see that. Is that even possible? Anybody? I think the players would respond better to him being that they respect him and all.

yeah, i think it would be great because he really understands the game and all the players really have a lot of respect for him.

plus it would be cool to see hime on the bench in one of his pimp suits.:D

Many fans. like myself, would like to see Calvin Murphy back as a Rockets Coach. I feel confident that he would be considerably better than any Assistant sitting on the present bench. He knows what needs to be done and is not afraid to get it done. Besides the Free Throw Shooting will improve and become consistant. The big problem is that Murphy demands to be paid a decent salary, if he is going to be a serious professional Coach. (This is hearsay from at least 8-10 yrs ago). THe Rox Management needs to make the invitation and come up with the money!

Calvin is too much friends with the current Rockets players to be effective.

It's one thing to be able to criticize (justifiably so) from the press table, it's another to do it on the bench, in the player's face.

Murphy may be good, but I suspect he would be very tough on his players, really get on them if they make mistakes and not play the right way. Would they respect him enough to listen??

a better idea is to ask cat to be the color anaylst.. then Yao would have to pick up the scoring load.. and everyone will be happy... the cat haters will be happy... and people who like cat can still hear his voice on TV

Why do you start off your post by saying you're not going to take a jab at Rudy and then proceed to do exactly that. Just take the jab and live with it. Rudy doesn't want your sympathy nor does he need it. By the way you don't have a clue about coaching in the NBA.

That is really a good idea. How come nobody thought of it until now?

Actually, it's probably even more effective if we just sign Calvin to play for us Swap Calvin with Cat. Calvin is a much better shooter than Cat, and he can coach while he's playing.
