OK, for those of you who want Rudy removed? There you go! You had the chance to see what the team looks like without him. Are you guys happy now?

Although I am a new fan (well, not new anymore, it's been 8 months already), I can see the Rockets fans in general are spoiled. Rudy coached a championship team twice, took the team to the playoffs numerous times, and you guys think those accomplishments are given by nature and without the effort of a great coach?

When a bunch of amazing athletes play together, it's called a streetball club. When they have a coach, it's called a NBA team. When they have a great coach, it's called a championship team. The Rockets couldn't have won the championships without Rudy. No team can do that without a great coach.

To me, I just realized what Rudy means to this team with his absence. Those petitioners can now call themselves "dumb".

I am not one of the petitioners to remove Rudy. I thought he should be giving a chance at least until the end of the season. But just to be fair for every body, I don't think we should compare Rudy to Larry Smith. Smith never had any head coaching experience so there is nothing to measure him against. He had not prove that he ca

This is not a preview of life without Rudy, this is a sneek peak at what life with Larry Smith as coach would be like. I assure you, Mr. Mean isn't next in line.

continue with my last post....Smith really not have any experience as a head coach so we couldn't make any comparison between him and Rudy. If you have an established coach like i.e. Van Gundy or Hubie Brown or Del Harris, etc.. and they did a poorer job with this group of players, then we can said that the problem is not with coaching. By saying that, I actually think Rudy did a good job lately with the team. He had found a combo that work and finally have a set rotation. I guess that rotation kind of get mess up in the last two games so we atually need to get Rudy back soon for the final drive to the playoff.. With what happen to Rudy lately, I think the job is his for at least another year regardless of how the Rockets finishing up this year.

If we do fire Rudy (not that I personally want to fire him), I am sure we would get another highly qualified coach, not Larry Smith. So your post is pretty "dumb".

And yeah I also feel "dumb", talking to a Jazz fan.

Smith can't make any real changes to the team. His job is to maintain the system that Rudy has put in place.

    It proves nothing.

he made plenty of changes to the substitution pattern so your point is moot.

It's a change none the less, which everyone seems to have been screaming for. It's just funny that after everyone's been crying for so long that Rudy T. needs to to go, when there is a change, the first thing that everyone says is that we need him back.

Mr. Mean's poor performance as interim coach in no way elevates what I have (not) seen from RT this year.

All it proves is that's he's not ready to be a head coach.

Hello, my name's Dumb. Know where I can find a new coach, cause the one I have has a roster full of professional basketball players who can't play a lick of basketball.

What is so poor about his performance. Other than some substitution changes, the team played as crappily as it always plays.

good job raven! someone finally figures it out. Yes his subs may be slightly different, but you know good and well that he has been left with an outline to follow. This is not a true definition of life without Rudy or for that matter life with Larry Smith.

And what's more, if Rudy's team was stumbling through and making the same mistakes all season long, why would a coaching change immediately turn us into an unstoppable juggernaut. This is simply ridiculous. Take off your rose colored glasses and realize what we are A good, but inconsistent team.

Five wins does not a season make, and two losses does not a season break. We are not out of the playoffs yet, if this is too much turmoil for you to take, then tune out until two years from now.

So you guys are telling me that the Rockets never ever ever ever played inconsistently before Rudy had to go on the IR.

I am sick and tired of those fake anti-Jazz fans like you, *******. I know many Rockets fans don't like the Jazz, and that's fine, since they've been through some tough times with them. However, someone who is hating the Jazz just because someone else is doing it, and they leave me them the most crap. Carayip, I know your ass. You are a Rockets fan because of Yao Ming(there is no problem with that, so am I). But, stop faking to be some long-term fan who really do have issues with the Jazz. You don't! You haven't been through the 90th as a Rockets fan. All you are doing here is pretending to be cool, like everyone else. I don't care to be abused, but I only don't mind the abuses from someone who is genuine. Seeing your kind of fake sorry ass makes me throw up. You are posting 15 posts a day? That's a life of a loner who gets addicted online and spend all his time there. Go back to your school or work, or go back to China if that can give you a better life than pretending to be cool and attack others online. Get a life man.
