I don't know if you all keep up with the women's side of the NCAA, but if you do, were you surprised by any of the seedings or teams that got in? I'm a disappointed that Baylor didn't make it, but they won't recover from losing Sheila Lambert or Danielle Crockrom any time in the near future.
Well from the massive amounts of posts this thread is generating , I assume there are not many women's basketball fans. Am I in a totally male dominated forum?
Well, in defense of the lack of activity in this post, does it really matter who's seeded where in the women's bracket? I mean, is there really any question who the over-whelming favorite is? Now for a truly interesting question: How would UCONN fare in the WNBA?
I think UCONN can be beat in the tournament, but whoever is playing them would have to have the most near perfect game of their program's history to come up with the win. I don't know how this year's UCONN team would pair up against the WNBA competition, but last year's 39-0 team would have been able to compete. Hell, Sue Bird, Swin Cash and the other two UCONN seniors from 2002 adjusted very well and fast to the professional league in my opinion.
I like the Longhorns to win it... I also think the NM Lobos will be competitive as they will be playing on there home court "The Pit"...Huge advantage...
I think Texas has the best chances of winning than any other Big 12 team. But, I'm all for any Big 12 team going all the way. My team, Baylor, is not in the NCAA tournament. But they did get an invite to the WNIT. Not what I hoped for, but at least it's postseason.
