Respect for the real black Shane Battier! One of the classiest greatest guards of the 90-00 era.

Grant Hill was a triple double machine. Chandler can't be half the player Hill was in his prime b4 the injury. People think of Lebron as a trip doub machine but Hill had like 29 in his few years b4 the injury compared to LBJ's 30 for his whole career already.

lol, wut? In what world is Chandler Parson comparable to a healthy, prime Grant Hill? Not even close.

Grant hill is not even the same league as Lebron as a Player. His PER in his best season would be one of Lebron's worst. Lebron has taken his team deep in the playoffs many times. Grant Hill didn't get out of the 1st round until he went to Phoenix.

He is a very good player, but I don't think he was in the Lebron class.

Detroit really screwed him over by not only rushing him back from injury, but continuing to play him in the playoffs against the Heat on his bad ankle. It just further deteriorated his ankle and once he went to Orlando the ankle persisted and coupled with the infection it took away what remained of his prime years. While it was great that Hill eventually overcame the injuries and was able to stay healthy for the latter part of his career, by that time his best basketball was long gone and he was nothing more than a role player.

As a result Hill joins the list of NBA what if's.

When did i say he was? I just stated a fact about triple doubles. Not who the better player is. Though when Grant started to shoot more and avg 25ppg, he then got hurt. At his pace he could have ended up top 25 all time imo especially if he partnered up with T-Mac healthy b/c the wins and playoff success would have come along. LBJ is going down as #2 imo so of course i wouldn't put him in the same class.

This is a joke right? And Parsons is my fav rockets player, but no way. Grant Hill was destined for greatness if it weren't for that injury. I still remember his rookie season, absolute beast.

A great player, who's career was never what it should have been. Reminds me a bit of Yao, except that Hill was able to come back and play, if at a different level.

As ESPN stated for the others that didn't get to watch him in DET. They said "He was the Lebron before Lebron." He had 6 years of stats that matched up only with I believe One person, Oscar Robertson.
He was better than anyone could believe, he was better than Lebron before there was a Lebron. Oh and just look at MJ talking to Grant Hill as a youngster on the court.
MJ even knew in his Bulls days. Grant Hill was a specimen, his father a sports figure for the dallas cowboys (have his autograph, Funny stuff), and had a family that well was a bit better than most pro's families. Grant Hill was a part of some amazing plays.

He was in the same class for his first 6 years..LBJ didn't put any stats up (IN ALL THE STATS ACCOUNTED FOR) that Hill did in DET. Oscar Robertson, and I believe no one else. Triple doubles, beast, got to the rim easy. Shooter at ease!

I believe skills wise, he was in the same class. But Lebrons freakish athleticism at his size is what puts him out of reach when comparing the 2.
