You laughed when I said it would be a close series. Keep in mind that I was not even saying the Pacers would win, but that it would be as close as flipping a coin. Well guess what, there's just one more coin flip. For EVERYTHING.
So when Miami won in game 5, it's stupid to think they did anything, right? Because they were just fortunate that Hill and Stephenson were in a slump. Hell, the Heat are fortunate that Hibbert was not in at the end of Game 1, because otherwise this series would be over in six. Games are won and lost because of slumps and on-fire moments. Luck plays a deciding role in everything. Loose balls, bounces, etc. If the Pacers lose, everyone will pounce on his ass just like they did with what. Let him enjoy his moment now.
But you think it's a coin flip because the pacers are a good team, but the reality is that it's a coin flip because we don't know which Bosh, Wade, and Ray Allen will show up. And Spurs vs Pacers wouldn't be any coin flip it would be a low ratings sweep.
We can expect sturn to send out his all star ref team for the next game. If his teammates don't help him, the refs might. Not saying he'll need it, dude will explode for 60.
Well he did the same thing last year and disappeared after the pacers got whipped, and now here he is again. If Miami wins Monday, prepare to not see pacertom again until next May.
This. The Heat would get a game or 2 off the Spurs due to HCA, but neither team has a chance (with current Wade/Bosh).
Except it's not a coin flip. If it were, then the line on game 7 would be even. But it's going to be something like Heat -7. I'm sure you'll get excited when it's close in the first half, but try not to be too disappointed when the Heat blow out the Pacers in the 4th, just like they did to the Celtics last year. Even if they aren't playing well, there is no way Stern will let his sendoff be a Pacers/Spurs series that noone will watch. Looks for JC early and often.
The league is very careful to keep it's "random" ref assignment locked up like Fort Knox until gameday. But it will most likely involve Joey Crawford and/or Bennet Salvatore and/or Dick Bavetta (is he still alive?) since they are the "old guard".
Why do I have the feeling if the Heat advances, against the Spurs defense suddenly both Bosh and Wade will play much better.
I've got a good idea. The quivering pu$$y ones who aren't used to being guarded all game, every game. Game 7 should be good and it can go either way, only because of Lebron. If you are depending on the Lebronettes, Boobie Gibson-Wade, Jamario Moon-Bosh, and Ira Newble-Allen, then you are crazy.
Teams give Wade too much respect, just back off and let him shoot so he can't drive on you. Guy is as bad a shooter as Tony Allen.
line was Heat -2.5 tonight. How did that turn out? The Heat have been favored by more than that in every game. The Heat were 1-7 to win this series before it started, bet 7 bucks to win 8 bucks. Vegas has been wrong a lot on this series.
