how is it OK for him to say he doesn't want a white coach... but if a white coach said he didn't want a black player then people would be up in arms? Something is wrong with this world where we let people get away with racism based on the color of their skin.
I think JVG will turn Blake and Deandre into good defensive players. Blake is just like Amare, he has all the skills in the world to be a good defensive player, but he has had a worthless coach. You put a coach who knows how to teach D next to him, he could be a beast on that end.

That Nets team wreaks of career suicide. I think Rudy T might be a good coach for them, put in about 50 games worth of work then retire again. They'll be irrelevant by 2015.
The Los Angeles Clippers' conversations with top coaching choice, Jeff Van Gundy, have failed to materialize into him becoming a serious candidate for the job, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. Van Gundy and Clippers officials did talk more than once about the possibility of the job, but discussions have become dormant, sources said. After spending the past five years as a top TV analyst, Van Gundy has become more open to a return to coaching and has been the subject of several overtures over the past few years. Denver coach George Karl remains a possible candidate for the Clippers, along with Memphis' Lionel Hollins, Byron Scott and Alvin Gentry.
"Stealing" coaches? Yeah. Hollins will be a FA. Karl is not a FA, so I'd be surprised if he ended up somewhere other than Denver next year. (There is reportedly "uncertainty" with Karl.)
