Agreed. Were clearly more of a Miami. Jeremy=Lebron, Harden=Wade, Asik=Bosh

We just gotta keep this core around Jeremy and sky is the limit!

Asik and Bosh have completely different games. Bosh could easily average 20 and 10 plus if he was in Houston.

Edit: I see what you did there.

If we miss out on Dwight/CP3, it will be interesting to see what kind of one year guaranteed players are in the mix. Oden and Bynum are intriguing. You have to think Delfino/Garcia would be on our radar as well.

Solution: First, sign Dwight Howard. Second, sign his brother, Cliff Paul. Third, free your mind and the rest will follow.

Tell me why again do we need to be under the salary cap? I hope you have an En Vogue song stuck in your head the rest of the day.

If what Morey said was not just smoke screen, then staying put would be a more likely scenario if we couldn't get the big two. Why would we want to sign a stop gap non-star and stun the growth of our young PFs?

Of course, this was the argument against signing Delfino, who would supposedly be stunning the development of Jeremy Lamb.

Perfect scenario would be to dump Jones, White, and Moti and keep TRob if you can sign both Howard and Paul. Lin could be traded to Utah for a pick as they will be under the cap once Jefferson and Millsap are released. Any team under the cap would take Asik for a pick.

    Imagine a Paul/Harden/Parsons/TRob/Howard lineup? Drool

It could be done all it takes is Paul and Howard making a Lebron/Bosh decision that this is what they want. Morey would then find a way.

In a perfect scenario we'd have cp3 or dwight Howard force a sign and trade and we sign one of them.

We would have to trade Lin/asik/Robinson/ 1st rd pick.

    Paul/harden/parsons/Jones/Howard

Unlikely.. Dm said there would be 20 things to do before that happens

Much rather trade Moti and Jones and keep Robinson. Robinson with consistent minutes is going to be a rebounding monster.

Now the rules have changed so teams can't do that as much..... what rule changed? This is easily the biggest detail stated in the conversation. We knew about everything else.

I wouldn't mind having at least 5 minutes to sit and talk with Morey.

He was referring to the fact that during the offseason when Rockets got Llull I believe they spent around 6.5 million to buy multiple second picks. Since then the rule has been changed so that a team can only spend about $3 million to buy picks. (The dollar figures aren't exactly right now that is what he was referring to)

Man I wanted to ask him about specifics of how the Lin and Asik deals were structured. Specifically if their contracts would give us an advantage in working a possible sign and trade for both Paul and Howard. But in the end I was too chicken to ask.

It is good that a GM accepts objective evidence unlike some here.

Thanks for the info. It's nice to know the GM really does imagine the impossible sometimes like the rest of us. It's pretty obvious that DM will at least test the waters with the possibility of adding both D12 & CP3. Little chance if it happening I know.
