Bahrain's ass?! hell no. that country kicks a$$! one of the only ones in the middle east that does.

It is just a small island off of Saudi...we have bases there.
The usa is offering sadam a place to stay.

Bahrain is an ally of the U.S.. The king is only offering what President Bush demanded of Hussein - leave Iraq. I believe that the Naval offices for this operation are housed in Bahrain.

exactly, i said jsut that a sec ago.

Bahrain is a major Ally, it is a very westernized Country in the MIddle east.

It's also where we go to get our Pork And Beer, since it's illegal in Saudi Arabia.

Maybe Bahrin is just offering Sadam a chance to live on the US naval base, with free transfer to somewhere comfortable, Gitmo, for example.

    ohhhhhh...

So, if he accepts this offer, he's basically surrendering if the US proves victorious...

I know this is serious business and all, but I found this quote from the article amusing:

"Make no mistake, when the president says go -- look out, it's hammer time," Vice Adm. Timothy J. Keating said aboard the USS Constellation. "It is hammer time...

If Saddam was stable and not a loser, he would leave before the US drops the hammer.
