The Core thread had me thinking...

I really like bad movies. If you looked at my dvd/vhs library, you'd probably see about 5-6 titles that you'd think were absolutely horrible. I understand why you'd think these movies blow, but for some reason, I really enjoy watching them.

List of bad movies I love:
Pitch Black (Vin Diesel action is cool)
Final Destination (Love the death scenes)
    Armageddon (Love the Effects)
Any Paulie Shore movie except for Encino Man (that movie sucked! ;))
Back From the Past (Alicia Silverstone was hot in this movie)
Phantoms (Loved the death scenes, plus I enjoy Rose McGowan)
Jason X (Jason looked like Super Shredder towards the end of the movie, which brought up great memories of TMNT, also some of the one-liners were horrible, "What happened to Sanchez?!?!" "He's screwed."...so terrible.
Any Leprechaun movie (What an awesome series that was...)

So do you guys have any guilty cinematic pleasures?

    I know rm95 likes terrible movies...:D

I, like most guys, occasionally watch a bad movie for the nudity.

"Battlefield Earth" (aka the original mother of all bombs)

I invented so many drinking games with my buddies.

caution: don't try this at home unless large quantities of LIQOUR is present.

    Maximum Overdrive.

The horrible premise, the bad acting, Emolio Esteves, and the AC/DC soundtrack make this movie one of the ultimate cinematic guilty pleasures.

some of those pre-pubescent girly movies like "She's All That," "10 Things I Hate About You," and "Drive Me Crazy."

Reminds me of a simpler time in my life... ahh, high school.

Have you seen this Leprechaun movie? I haven't worked up the guts yet - it's hard to rent movies that make the Blockbuster clerks laugh at you.

    Other guility cinematic pleasures:

Flash Gordon - FLASH! AAH-AAH! HE'LL SAVE EVERYONE OF US!!! I really like the part where he pretends to play football while fighting with Ming's army.

Problem Child 1 & 2 - That kid is a hysterically bad actor. He makes the Olsen twins look like Haley Joel Osmant.

Barbarella - The movie for which Hanoi Jane should have received her Oscar.

Adam Sandler movies - He plays the same character every time - his genius lies in his settings and supporting characters (the old dude, Steve Buscemi).

The Golden Child - No real reason. I just like this film.

Ohh Man: Check my dvd list.

I have some stinkers that I love.

    - Last Action Hero (Arnold bombs away)
    - Armageddon
    - Nothing But Trouble (Chevy Chase, Demi, Candy, Akroid)
    - Red Dawn - Wolverines!
    - Reign of Fire - (umm it was cheap)
    - Tango & Cash
    - Demolition Man - maybe not that bad?
    - The 'Burbs
    - White Men Can't Jump

I like, but don't have these:

    - Tremors
    - Deep Impact
    - Leviathan, Deep Star Six and the Abyss.

I like the older Sci-Fi movies like:

    Logan's Run
    The Omega Man
    Solient Green

10 Things I Hate About You and Clueless both pop into my mind, as do Deep Impact and Red Dawn.
