I like the student's responses. America, we're in good shape.

People get fired for stupider **** all of the time. But everyone's always sitting in the teachers corner for some reason. I guess that's more interesting somehow? ****, I get grumpy when there's no sports on.

Students probably mad because she wouldn't sex them. I mean, sex is probably expected by a student by now.

So they're going the p.c. route.

Probably figures, but it's also a little sad, "negro" (NAY-gro) and "n-----" being too close for comfort in America.

I think we're all projecting our racially taxonomic anxieties and school system frustrations onto a flimsy story; I think this 65-year-old teacher's lawyer just couldn't effectively prove age discrimination.

Two completely unrelated events out of possibly hundreds of classroom incidents over the last few months and you desperately pair them and frame non African-American people's responses to them as an example of persecution against blacks. And then you conjure up this garbage about teachers not revealing grades or dividing students in class based on performance.

It's all about the hard 'r' and 'e' when saying it.

I think he was on point here bringing it out. Disagree with his conclusion if you want but pointing it out isn't a stretch IMO. These were certainly the last two widely reported "classroom incidents" on clutchfans.

From my understanding, and Hispanic posters can tell me if I'm wrong, it's common and isn't offensive in Spanish to refer to someone as negro in Spanish.

Like saying el negro just describes someone of African heritage, it's not anything like calling someone the black in the USA.
