Maybe we should do a poll: How many female fans come to this board because of Yao Ming?

orien, akgirl, could you tell us?

I'm surprised to see that Yao Ming is so appealling to female fans. I'm a Chinese male, honestly I think Yao Ming is not very good looking, guys like Edison Chen and Andy Lau are those you would called good looking in Chinese. Yet, appearance does not tell everything, I like Yao Ming alot because of his charisma and warm personality, I think those are more attractive to girls than his look ( and he is not ugly either, above average among Chinese ).

Moreover, different ethnicity have different tastes, if you ask a Chinese whether Lucy Liu is hot or not, I could gaurentee that 9 out of 10 would said she's ugly. And none of my friends would watch Asian American p*rn movies, coz they are ugly in our eyes.

I don't know the avg height of Chinese, but Chinese from Southern China like me (from HK) are generally much shorter than Chinese from the North. In Austin, Texas, most ABC are about 6'-6'2", right about the avg of most whites and blacks. I'm 6' and i'm considered tall among my HK friends (avg 5'8").
