Ouch. Very bad news for 49ers. I doubt he will be back for the playoffs since it is only 6 months away.

Damn, that sucks. First offseason workout for the Niners and they lose their best weapon. That leaves Boldin, a recovering Mario Manningham and Kyle Williams, a 1st round bust in AJ Jenkins, and Quinton Patton. SFgate saying Brandon Lloyd might get a look.

Damn, was looking forward to see if he could make the leap from good to great receiver this season.

Hate to see any player go down with an injury. Being a fan of the NFL, it happens an awful lot. Brian Cushing was a huge loss for us last year.

I certainly think Jenkins was a reach, but has he failed enough to already call him a bust? Crabtree has improved each year but just had his first 1000 yard season. They still got Davis, and a returning Lamichael James.

How come they don't report how he did it? Are we supposed to assume it was from training/practice?

Or could it have been from a pickup basketball game?
