Oddly, Stoudemire's averages are lower (10.5 ppg, 8.3 rpg) over the Suns' last four wins than they are in their last four losses (17.8 ppg, 8.5 rpg).

It is the same as I claimed before his stats were inflated by his huge play during the junk time. :) It is good the nba staff noticed that and adjusted the rank accordingly. :D

Geez what ever happened to Jay Williams. Did he disappear or what.

That should show everybody that the experts dont always know what a player will do when he comes into the league.

Who would have thought Amare would have the stats compared to what Jay Williams has.

Jay Williams lost his start position after bashing the team and his teammates. As he didn't get enough minutes, he couldn't manage big points. Poor guy.

Anyone have any quotes or articles about what happened? I think Jay will is the biggest bust by far in the rookie lineup. I think he'll improve but Chicago seems to be the absolute wrong team for him.

It was discussed in this BBS before. You will need to find the needle out of the haystack. ;)

To heck with averages and that crap -- who is playing like the seasoned pro in the last minutes of the last five (or more) games? Yao. He is the man when a man is needed to step up and be counted.

Watch tonite -- if the game is within reach with minutes to go, the Rox'll go to YM and YM will deliver!

Let's just put it this way all the so called "expert" opinions about Yao that existed around november all proved to be false. There's just a ton of idiot sportswriters and ESPN talking heads who don't have a clue. Yao seems to be gaining steam during the spring. Once again Yao has been the wild card that trumped all predictions.

I can't wait to see how Yao play against lesser competition now. It's not even going to be a challenge for him anymore.

Yao has certainly surpassed expectations given the lack of rest and a training camp. Yao could be exceptionally scary next year. I just hope that he's not run ragged while training for international competition as it's been suggested his coach will do.

I remember a lot of people didn't think someone as tall as Yao would make it his first year without a lot of injuries...strange I haven't heard one person mention Yao's ironman-like streak of games played his rookie year. For someone 7'5" he's been amazingly resilient and injury-free...thanks to Rudy's judgement in resting him often, and his conditioning throughout the year.

Yao is one of only two rockets that have played in all rockets games this season.

    Dn 1282,

Screw you, you jerk. I've been supporting Yao Ming since before he was drafted. You're just one of the idiots who thought that Yao Ming couldn't succeed in the NBA. Now you've been shown to be an idiot and you can't deal with that. Go stick your head in the toilet and flush it!
