I don't think its likely that Anderson comes here for his price.

But I agree we definitely need some 3 point shooters. Anyone got a handle on 3 point specialists for under $1.5m?

    Rondo/Beverly
    Harden/Terry
    Parsons/Delfino
    Bass/Jones
    Howard/Smith

Use vet minimum contract to sign Pachulia.

Because I actually saw him play and he wasn't coming back from a knee injury that hindered him for the first half a season? (Much the same as how Dwight improved post all star game, so did Lin, injuries will do that), Parker was a god awful shooter for a long time (heck Pop stopped having him take 3 pointers after 2005 because of it).

My biggest fear in all this is that in order to convince Howard that this is the place for him, that we have to go out and nab Josh Smith as well. That almost assuredly costs us Asik and most likely another piece as well (Trob or Lin). It also hampers our ability to add a true third max guy like CP3 this off season, or Love/LMA next year.

This is definitely a good problem to have though. It feels good to be relevant again.

Also, best case scenario is too land Howard/CP3 and then all our ex players come back for vet min to help finish what they started (Battier, Scola, Landry, Dragic, etc.)

Howard will resign with LA. He is too indecisive and immature to make a clear-headed decision on his own. He'll most likely succumb to the pressures of the LA media & League (they want the Lakers to be as good as possible) and end up folding and resigning with LA.

I think the right basketball move is Houston but seriously doubt it will happen.

Give it a shot but I feel like we'll be going after a star PF.

I highly doubt Hornets would accept a Asik for Ryan Anderson trade. Anderson is their 2nd leading scorer on a team that needs offense. If they traded him for Asik they would clog the paint, and they don't have that many shooters.

One of the key takeaways from the article is...

Omer Asik, the kind of 7-footer Howard is believed to want next to him in the frontcourt.

Don't think Josh Smith or CP3 are happening if Howard gets his way and plays PF next to Asik.

I think cyberx latest post is correct. Sign Howard straight up, no need to worry about trading Asik.

Dont think Philly does that. He was pretty good for the sixers and hes only going to get better. They won't trade him for role players at best and a pick

People wanting to get rid of Lin if we get Dwight are insane.

Did you not see how effective Lin was with Tyson Chandler on the PnR? Now imagine that with Dwight. Along with Lin having another summer to improve his outside shot.

They're just Lin haters just baiting you.

That's exactly what they're scared of. They'd rather see Rockets get worse than Lin succeed.

I have to disagree. Philly has been contemplating trading Evan Turner away for a while now. Don't be surprised if they trade him away basically for a ham and cheese sandwich.
