Melo did OK. Tyson and JR sucked hard, Felton was completely no show, and Woodson is a moron

Melo was bad. Tyson and JR sucked. Felton was bad but he played great in the Celtics series where Melo was a no show.

Did Melo even reach the 40% FG mark in these playoffs? Its not like he contributes anything else outside of his chucking and ball dominance. Oh wait his slightly above average rebounding! Then again he sucks at defense and at making plays.

Not sure if people remember Glen Rice? Carmelo reminds me so much of him.

Season FG FGA FG% 3P 3PA 3P% FT FTA FT% TRB AST STL TOV PTS
Glen Rice
Career 7.0 15.3 .456 1.6 4.0 .400 3.3 3.9 .846 4.5 2.2 1.0 1.8 18.9
Carmelo Antony
Career 8.9 19.5 .456 1.0 2.9 .334 6.3 7.8 .808 6.4 3.1 1.1 3.0 25.0

Career stats, Carmelo vs Glen Rice, both called 'pure shooter' and actually have the same career FG%. Glen Rice stats were skewed by sunset years of his career (two were with Rockets). At least Glen had a ring and Carmelo still looking for his, probably never will win one if he is option #1 on a team..

that made no sense. How does winning 50+ games show how bad the Eastern Conference is? I'm reading some of the comments like this and I'm like what the **** is going on

I don't worry about Melo's shooting percentage too much, he was at .45 fg% and .38 3pt% in the regular just came up short in the playoffs.

His biggest issue is playmaking, and defense to a lesser extent. You just can't have the offense run through you that much and not make the right plays. Even Kobe knows how to utilize his teammates, even if it's only to set himself up for a shot later in the possession.

They need to fix that PG situation. I don't think Felton is the answer. Plus, Kidd and Prig are so dang old - there has to be better backup PGs out there.

I think a healthy Stoudemire, for the whole season, will help the Knicks even more.

Knicks have a great team. Positions at the 2, 3, 4 and 5 are pretty much set.

I'm glad to see that overrated fat chucker gets what he deserves. He wanted out of Denver? Well, have fun losing in the first and second round for the rest of your career.

Don't let the knicks record fool you. 2nd seed in a weak eastern conference is not a big deal. They're in a conference were most teams suck. They just happen to be the least suckiest.

Have fun losing in the first and second round because just like the Knicks, Carmelo is fools gold.

The Knicks are just at a higher level of mediocre and they don't have any flexibility to seriously improve.

Carmelo is a top three scorer in the NBA. He has done this at PF And SF. his team is not stacked at all.

Like Nowitzki, he's a pleasure for me to watch

Carmelo is the guy you point to when saying "all such and such needs is a outside game or inside game or to be clutch". Melo has all those at HOF levee

But y'all want to just b**** about him

Let me 'splain something to y'all. If Melo combined all the things I mentioned above with great passing ability or great defense he would be a top 10 player of all time. Just like Nowitzki , that is how good his offensive game is

Melo is an extraordinary great offensive player

And a top five clutch player of all time

Ouch.

After being rightly praised for a more team-oriented approach in the regular season, Anthony regressed in the playoffs, taking a career-high 25.8 shots a game and converting just 40.6 percent.

At their best this season, the Knicks were a well-orchestrated, ball-moving, 3-point-shooting offensive juggernaut. That worked well as long as Anthony and J. R. Smith were participating in the ball movement part, and not so well when they reverted to predictable isolation play.

The Knicks can win with Anthony, but they have to surround him with playmakers to offset his ball-dominating ways and find him a suitable co-star.
