Breen talking about the luck of the draw and how the Spurs got Duncan in the draft lottery and how they haven't looked back....but he doesn't mention how they were a perennial playoff team who absolutely tanked to get him after Robinson went down.
They need a creative coach with a similar offensive scheme who also enforces those schemes with a rod of iron.
Just saying the way he said it made the Spurs were a bottom of the barrel team down on their luck until Duncan came along...
Who would have predicted that T-Mac would be playing in a Western Conference Finals game while Durant was sitting at home at the start of the year?
Agreed, but look at his stat and games. 2011 one armed Ginobili is better than 2013 2 armed one. I don´t think Ginobili is healthy, even his free threows are off the mark, that to me is a classic shooting arm injury. Thou i don´t think he or the Spurs will ever tell the truth. They need teams to still cover Ginobili as if he was an offensive threat, but they really use him as a facilitator. That would be a lot difficult if othr teams knew he is injuried. But to me is pretty obvious. That said, the way the role players are playing Ginobili will rack up assists at a point guard average.
