Has anyone been since the disposable containers ban? I didn't go last year so I'm just looking for some suggestions on the best way to get around it from anyone who has been. Thanks to anyone who can give suggestions (and clarification on the rules).

Would the best way to get around it be to not use disposable containers?

Drunks always insist on being drunk.

Well unless you get a keg, beer only comes in disposable containers. Are people floating with kegs now? Appreciate the input.

Just use a thermos or plastic/metal "permanent" water bottles, or those little pony kegs.

How's the water level? Last time I went we had to walk half the damn thing.

It was bad the last time I went too, but that was during the drought and it hadn't rained in forever. They have a website where you can check the flow rate.

Yeah, check out the flow rate website -- the river is really weak right now.

I thought the disposable container ban was only on the Comal River.

I was at Canyon Lake 3 weeks ago and I went down to the river and it was nothing but rocks, like barely any river at all. Sad to see.

I was thinking it was just inside the city limits, but I haven't heard anything definite on that.

The last time i went (2 yrs ago) the container laws only applied to city limits, most of the river people float was fine.

Just go and enjoy the river and nature. Stop worrying about getting drunk.
