Eventually, the Pacers were going to miss an offensive force like Granger.

The void is going to obvious in the series against Miami.

Have you guys seen the FTA stats?

    43 for Indiana
    18 for NYK

You aren't going to win many games that way. Now I'm not saying the refs were biased but that an enormous disparity. Can this really be chalked up to the fact that Indiana plays inside and NYK shoots jumpers? I felt like Melo wasn't getting any calls despite getting played by George pretty physically. The calls West and Hibbert were getting in the post were not being given to Melo. Perhaps because he's way stronger than Paul George?

In any case, congrats to Indiana. Hope they put up a good fight against LeBron.

Ehh, there's a reason why Jon Barry referred to Hibbert as the "Punching Bag" all game. George played really good defense on Melo, all game - George was called for a ticky-tack foul here and there, iirc.

But NY DID shoot a heckuva lot of jumpers. The little run by Shumpert and Smith, shooting and making 4 3s got NY back into the game.

Plus, NY didn't do a lot of driving, because Hibbert was guarding the paint.

So what's next for NY? More of the same it would appear.

Roster pretty much locked in. Chandler(14.1), Amar'e(21.6), Anthony(21.4) will make in the neighborhood of $57 million.

4.3 for Camby(Weren't they bit in the ass here, ha.)
    3.7 for Novak
    3.6 for Felton
    3 for Kidd

And of course Smith can opt out.(Said after the game he wants to retire a Knick)

Glen Grunwald for GM of the year! :p

I think this can be attributed to the following

    1) The Pacers is an excellent defense with alot of discipline on defense (best defensive team in the league this year). On the other hand, the Knicks is a very mediocre defensive team. Opposite to what the Pacers where doing, the Knicks were hacking at the ball at every opportunity and rarely played defense with their hands up or by jumping vertically. Hacking at the ball usually lead to fouls.

    2) The Pacers had a huge physical advantage in the post. Nobody on the Knicks can really defense David West or Roy Hibbert in the post, so they resorted to alot of pushing, shoving, 2 hands on the back,,, and of course their favorite defense hacking at the ball. All of which led to a lot of fouls.

    3) The Knicks took alot of jumpers. They drove far less often than the Pacers and had no post offensive presence and had to resort to jumpers.

Jason Kidd had ten games of zero points in the playoffs? That's gotta be a record considering how much minutes he played........crazy, time to retire.

Jason Kidd has always been one of my favorite players before he even played college. Had some of the best pure court vision passing of anyone I'D seen

But its time to send him to the glue factory. He's done-zo.

Amare actually played good ball this year, when he is ABLE to play. But we Houston fans know too much the "when healthy" element of star players. He's just not able TO be healthy much.

Yeah Camby is some bloat for them. Can't lie I was one wanting Rockets to bring him back, but he's another "when healthy" guy.

I'm not much on the Jeremy Lin story. But at least they'd have some kinda UPSIDE there if they had him, similar to Rajon Rondo in Boston with the core of greybeards.

Goodness, Chris Copeland is their 3rd youngest player. And he's gonna turn 30 next year.

DA is going out of his way to defend the nba. Does he expect us to believe if the league was rigged he would say so? I think he likes having a job.

Fact is memphis and indiana are in the bottom five in ticket sales amongst perennial lottery teams despite having playoff success these last several years. If they didnt make the playoffs, fans in those cities would not show up to support franchises that have never won anything, especially memphis whose economy has yet to recover since the recession. The spurs have the biggest international market in all of sports and the heat have lebron, who is the most marketable player in the nba.

His lame attempt to show the nba hasnt been rigged under stern reeks of desperation.

The Pacers missed the playoffs 5 times since 1990 (in 24 years). 'Perennial lottery team' is a bit harsh.

That one play where hibbert just snatched it right from him, turned and jammed it, that was just nasty.
I'd love to see m.gasol and zbo vs hibbert and West for a series. Just how physical will that get!
