"One of the biggest differences between the two stars from my perspective was Michael's superior skills as a leader. Though at times he could be hard on his teammates, Michael was masterful at controlling the emotional climate of the team with the power of his presence. Kobe had a long way to go before he could make that claim. He talked a good game, but he'd yet to experience the cold truth of leadership in his bones, as Michael had in his bones." http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/9285372/phil-jackson-compares-michael-jordan-kobe-bryant-book
Legend goes when MJ played minor league ball he once took a dump in a Waffle House with more leadership ability than Kobe Bryant.
I know what you mean, but consider the source. This is one of the best basketball minds ever AND he coached both of them for a good amount of time. If anyone were to be able to make the comparison it would be Phil.
Oh yeah I agree and I bet MJ was a better leader than Kobe. Honestly nobody has ever really given Kobe the nod in the comparison between the two in leadership. But just saying when Phil coached both guys there roles were different unless he is talking about Kobe after Shaq left.
Yep. Kobe demanded to be drafted by the most storied franchise in bball and a team with the most dominant big man. Kobe only last 2 years with his own ****ty team b4 demanding a trade and his team being handed an allstar big for what was peanuts at the time(not one person expected Marc to be this good. He was a thrown in). And now kobe wants to tweet about different roles and different paths as if he disagrees with the comparisons. The one and only reason he is even in any conversation to be compared is because of 5 rings. 3 of which he would never have if "jordan played with shaq instead."
Gee, tell me something I don't know. Kobe can imitate Jordan all he wants but he will never be him. Also doesn't help that Kobe went 6-24 in Game 7 of the Finals.
