Skip's better as of now. His handle was just so much better. Had good court vision too, kinda wasted in the halfcourt offense we ran with a dominant wing, in all honesty. Better finisher as well. Made himself into a somewhat reliable 3 pt shooter.

About the only thing Lin's got over him at this time is that Lin's probably faster...and that's about it.

Better finisher? Are you out of your mind? There is nothing about those floaters that never came close to the rim that supports being a good finisher.

He was a career 38 percent shooter. He shot 35 percent from the 3, and around 40 percent from the 2. The guy was a terrible.

This isn't even close. Lin is already a better player than Skip was at this point in their respective careers. Come on, are you guys serious? Not even the rate stats compare. The advanced stats clearly show Lin as better.

You know what's hilarious is that Skip was well known for his "ball handling", but this is another one of those phantom skills that doesn't translate well on the professional court. He could do fancy street dribbles all day, but his turnover percentage was still over 19% until he hit 27 years old at his fifth year in the NBA (when it started consistently hovering at around 14%).

Alston was a serviceable NBA player, particularly during his peak years, and that puts him in an elite group in terms of the global population. Not only does Lin clearly have more potential, but if you had to pick between Alston at his peak and Lin right now, then Lin is the better choice.

Rafer was very underrated on this board. He was solid, low turnover, and ran the offense well. Also played good defense.

Remember in the 2008 playoffs when our offense went to **** without him on the floor?

Yeah he was actually quite good during that playoff run. I thought when Nelson came back it really screwed stuff up. Never Forget Courtney Lee's Alleyoop HAHAHAHA
